According to Dave it seems like exactly the process I suggested in my 1st post took place at last week Presidents meeting. For Mileniun to e-mail such a letter to all owners after the meeting result described by Dave, is not only highly unprofessional, it's totally unacceptable. The Presidents should immediately start looking for another company to take care of business at Condado. We would not want a company, run by people without any understanding of business and communication, to manage the resort many of us like so much.

bluevelvet_77 keeps repeating the attack at Mileniun made by the level 1 Presidents wife. I don't think that was a smart move either. But if you can't see the difference between criticizing a company and attacking a person like Mileniun have done now, I suspect you either work for Mileniun, or went to the same school as the people writing this letter. This is NOT how you run business in the civilized world, no matter who is right or wrong in their accusations. And if this kind of behavior is accepted by the owners at Condado, I can’t see how anyone would want to take on the job as President at any level on Condado in the future.  

 Seems we are the only ones concerned about publishing the Securitas contract with the resort, including all  sensible information about staff, set up and technical details of the security  installations. We know that the guy in question seems to be very motivated to be level 1 but dont think that he is aware of the position he was elected for by some presidents. It is in our humble opinion a dangerous step to publish these details, now everybody knows how the security setup works, who are the people working here putting them on stake just for the sake of what? It's by the way the same guy selling illegally dongles for internet connections, sat receivers and other stuff which can you can buy through legal companies offering service and paying taxes in this country. Don't get mislead now by those who will defend his/their jobs unitl the end, it's time to get this sorted. We dont need somebody using the resorts facilities and services for his own/his friends advantage. Or how shall we understand that he interferes in the comunities security matters sending a guard to his friend Neil from the Clover instead of protecting Naranjos? When the  Clover needs security they should hire and pay for them, but it always helps to be a friend of PT?  RobandBev

 

PS: just read the minutes of the last presidents meeting, seems that this is in line with ML's letter, better step back before sacked.... 

I've been an owner for nearly 2years and have never even heard from my president and I'm disgusted to hear that a minority of little dictators are trying to undermine the professional body that has started to turn this resort around. Being a president should be seen as a position of informer and facilitator,ensuring that an impartial position is taken for the greater good of this thriving community. I will be seeking every opportunity to understand how we amend the current structure so that all owners (whether full time or holiday types) are represented in a more inclusive way. Forums allow people to share views and debate - my call to those who disagree with Phil Tann and his hanger-ons is to make your views and opinions heard by contacting ML and letting them know what you agree/disagree with and how you wish to be represented going forward.there is no perfect system but the least I expect is an opportunity to be headed and accurately represented so that Condado can continue to grow.

You really cant see what there trying to do can you,all phil wants is a full report of expenditure because there are holes where money is missing,millenium will not provide phil with the accounts wich by law they should,why is this has money been skimmed from the pot and they are scared because instead of rolling over phil is pushing for full accountability,so they try to rubbish his name in the hope he will go away,all we want as a community is transparancy and the truth and millenium refusing to provide accounts stinks.

 

 If you have any proof of that why dont you go the legal way to fight that? Seems you are just repeating what you hear at the Clover, welcome to real life! I cant believe that a company of the dimension of ML with audited books and supervison from the authorities can hide some book keeping or cook the books, this is not Barclay's! 

Urmmm as in the last post no proof as they wont release the accounts,there in lies the problem my freind,but what makes you so sure of ml do you have a vested intrest,because to be so blinkered and take in the propaganda so easily you either have a vested intrest or are a tad easily led fella.just an opinon again.we need to let phil get back from his holidays and let him explain himself,the fact that ml sent the mail the day after phil left and could not defend must make you wonder,it seems like there trying to get people on side while phil is out of the picture,not the way buisness is done,more like the way things are conducted in a play ground bar the fact its an all out attack on some one.This is why il wait for phil to return and then and only then can any sort of real opinion beformed

To be honest I wish I never had bought in Spain. I am not aware of a company in the UK that has mislead and treat its customer base as badly as Polaris did. There are plenty crooks everywhere you go but you stand more of a fighting chance to fight for your rights in he UK than a country where there are clearly many people including people of clear resonsibility that are in bed with Polaris management. For those of you that don't believe so are kidding yourselves!

Personally I believe we need strong people to fight for all our rights because ultimately taking all personal feelings aside we are all in the same boat - we all got shafted and all want the best going forward and if this desire to get the best results is considered as arrogance by the Spanish then tough. We paid a lot and I paid 182k for my apartment so I have a right to be pissed off.

If a country wants repeat business then do the right thing and try and understand basic principles of customer service and business principles and it will come by default.

I sound like a broken record here but as a priority I believe we need to communicate to Millenium that we need an urgent overall of the governance and make some immediate changes to get this bad position into a position where we can identify a way forward.

Clealy there are a lot of strong opinions on here including myself at times so if we think we can do a better job to help move things along then we should have a show of hands. The isolated pockets of clicks on CDA need to be disbanded who think they can run the resort on our behalf without consulting us and some fresh ideas put forward with specific targets in mind. Like any business if these are not achieved then get them out and try again as I would expect from any company or idividual that was brought on to do any job.

Oh by the way if anyone is thinking about running any customer service courses on the resort please remember to include the rude and unhelpful lady in the gof shop. I m used to a nice welcome when I goto play golf somewhere and the 1 in the golf shop doesn't really encourage you to come back!!

Where can I find a full list of presidents on CDA including La Isla? I cant find I on the community web site but may be looking in the wrong place? Does anyone know how I can contact them? Also what level of vetting to they go through?

I would be really interested in finding out too Mark.

Double standards? You compare my «attack» on you, an anonymous person making serious accusations against a named person on an internet forum, with the serious attack on the same named person made by ML in a formal letter? That explains a lot about your total lack of logic sense.

I do not think you or the people responsible for the letter from ML are in any way representative of Spanish culture and way of doing business. If that were the case nobody would do business with you. I’m happy that I bought in Spain, I have much higher thoughts of Spanish people in general.

If somebody trusted by the community, is not running things in the best interest of that very community, I will be the first to applaud that person’s resignation. That goes for the current level 1 President, as for all other Presidents at CDA. But this info should first of all be sorted out together with the rest of the Presidents etc. and then the community should be informed in a proper way. If the Presidents are not capable of this, they should all be replaced. But according to the post made by Dave earlier, this has been discussed and sorted out. Obviously ML doesn’t agree, but the way they choose to handle it shows total lack of professionalism. This should not be a “public trial”.

Thats the most sensible post on here blue velvet,a meeting was arranged the night before a called presidents meeting with only certain individuals called,the purpose of this meeting to arm an attack against phil,the sames questions were asked and answered at the proper meeting,ml not being happy with phil being able to explain himself thought they would whip up a campaign agaist him by sending the emails wich is just plain wrong.

I dont do forums normally but having read the scandelous email from ML and some of the comments made on hear I feel I have to comment.

I have made so enquires and phone calls before I posted this to be sure of what I am saying. Also PT is not a friend and I have never met him.

What I have found out

PT asked ML for detailed and open accounts to show what OUR money has been spent on. FACT

PT as level 1 has to sign the account as he is legally responsible for them and if any money goeas missing he is accountable by law so asking for details of the money is normal.

For example ML published accounts detailing how much they have spent on each garden in total but not what they spent it on PT asked for a breakdown lighting, repairs etc seems reasonable. as he is accountable. ML Refused.

PT has continued to ask for the breakdown but the company we employ tp manage our money wont tell us were they have spent it... does this not stink to some of you.

Now ML have systematical call secret meetings with only spanish presidents trying to get PT removed,, WHY?

Sent emails to residents trying to soil PT reputation .. WHY?

I will only make a couple of other comments on a few points ML are not in away responsible for the regeneration of the Al Kasar the is strickly IRM and the private enterprises that have been willing to invest in our comunity so thanks to LA Cata, Darren at the bulgarian, The Clover. The Ice cream bar and LA Bocako(check spelling) Also Paul and Rachel for reopening the Condado Club I again thank you all.

I spoke with the people in the Clover about geeting PT to open the gate, They informed me that ML locked the Gate without any right to do so. Their contract states that the Gate must be left open at all times of trading an the public toilets opened at that end as well.  They also told me that any enclosed area must have 2 unlocked exits for emergency use and from what I know

this is correct. SO PT was only doing his job nothing to do with wether they are his friend or not!!!!!!

SO they question we must ask is why ML feel they need to Slur the reputaion of a man that works for us for free..... it seems obvious to me!!!!!

You are both perfectly correct in what you write. Common sense, logical and well delivered. Particularly yourself SVH if Norwegian writing in perfect English. Alas, your inteligence levels are far above some of the posters on this thread, so unfortunately will not get the 'ear' of all.

Keep battling your corner and writing sensible factual posts - it is much more satisfying reading some of the drivel that is written on here.

I was at the AGM last year and was ashamed to be British by the behaviour of Phil he was on a power trip! Sell anything even his wife for a euro.

I have now received the minutes of the last presidents meeting held on 28th July written by........... ML  !! Now being a person who has to write minutes of meetings held every month in my ocupation this is yet another hachet job...!!  The minutes about the opening part of the meeting are just appauling, unprofessional and I would guess not written at the time of the meeting but after the event.  Have these minutes been proposed and seconded as a true record of the meeting by the people present at that meeting prior to circulation  -  I would hazard a guess at NOT

I really would hate to think that there is any issues here that it is an English person as president level1 ??  I sincerely hope it doesn't have any bearing on the matter as it should be best person for the job regardless of where they come from or what background.....   I note in the minutes that my President didn't attend that meeting but sent someone else who I have no idea who it is and never heard the name but asked for HIS opinion on a matter be noted in the minutes......My point?   Never been asked, consulted, informed or given feedback of anything that has happened in the last 4 years!!!  All I seem to hear is that it is whoever shouts the loudest at the meetings to the point of being rude is heard and the same spanish presidents name keeps cropping up.....

We are intending to do something about our particular issue of lack of any communication from our president and it is time he stood aside as he is going to be challenged at the next elections so come on folks if your president is not fulfilling the simple task of even communicating then stand against them, if your president is doing a good job then get behind them and give them your support.  We need a good mix of presidents from all different countries to reflect the CDA community and we should be professional enough to work together

Please take a step back from this correspondence and look at it logically and I am sure that whoever sent this out from ML will rue the day they sent such an unprofessional letter that has created such tension as seen on this forum alone!!

 

The President email addresses are in ML web site in the document section in the communications folder.

That said they will not work as ML have stopped them working.

So you can’t email you president to ask them anything about their allegations. They also do not allow your presidents to communicate with you in the weekly Friday update and will not provide any facility for your presidents to communicate with owners, you should be asking yourself WHY!

ML have sent the minutes of the last presidents meeting to most if not all owners, they have done this for the first time WHY? These minutes are not approved and have been written in such a way to further convince you of PT wrongdoing. I was at that presidents meeting and I can say they are not a true record of the meeting that was held.

PT has been working to have them produce clear account that all can understand ML have refused to comply with this and you have to question WHY!

To stop PT persisting with his demands for openness they are now making a determined effort to blacken his name.

"who let the trolls out, who, who....."  Anyway - aside from that.  I just wish everyone would get on.  I don't think ML have done a bad job at all - far better than the previous crowd.  All this 'he said, she said, they said, we said' nonsense is getting us nowhere, and never will.  As we are unlikely to ever get to the bottom of this then ALL presidents need to be in a room with ML, thrash it out and get on with the job.  A thankless task I'm sure for many of the presidents (I don't even know who my garden president is and I've owned since day 1) but many people are good at this sort of thing and for that I am grateful.  Actually I would prefer the meeting was videoed so that we can all get a good idea of 'who said, she said, they said'!!

Perhaps we should insist that every month all owners get notofication of any pending issues/voting so we can be heard??
