This stinks of corruption.  The way this has all blown up over the last few weeks have been unbelievable.

Still don't know the full picture but I hope Phil Tann counters this so we get both sides of the story.

I spoke to a Spanish neighbour when I was last out and he was saying how glad he was that English presidents were involved high up in the community hierachy as they get things done properly and would benefit the resort.

It would seem not everyone thinks this.

You seem a bit stressed Mate, may be a nice relaxing holiday in Spain may just be what you need. 

 This should not be about spanish and english.

There are plenty of spanish and non-spanish residents and owners.

Likewise there should probably be a mix in the people representing us.

I would like to think that the top roles would be residents of our community with the time available to do the role properly.

ML are not owners residents or members of our community...they were hired employees/administrators.  They should not be instigating or playing a role in choosing who we are represented by. I have no issues with Victoria as our president...I do have a big issue in the way she was appointed. 

I am now uneasy if the community website is administered and run by ML if they control the content.  They can send out the emails about gardening etc etc which do keep you upto date but I would rather the community representatives controlled the content.  I don't mean the level 1 president. I'd like to see a website where any president including level 3's can post on issues relevant to them.

There has been a coup- no doubt about it and the process is likely illegal.

I'm sure Phil's aim was to get an even balance of presidents from different nationalities on the resort.

Genuinely think we are in for troubled times and that a lot of people have viewed everything through rose tinted glasses or not even wanted to think about the process of how a resort is run.

 We already have a Presidents blog forum and i feel that any information released about Comunity issues should be approved by level 2 at least . Level 3 do not have a full picture . Confidential information could be leaked and this could be harmful . No one person should have power to change rules or do  or say what they like. 

Level 2 vote in and vote out number 1  not Mil Lev . Mil Lev do not call meetings only Presidents . We need a level 1 that can work and understand how things are done here. 

The democratic process has taken place as per the Statutes ( whatever  you think about the legality of the call) level 2 attended the meeting and decision has been made.

Do you have any actual evidence to back up your serious allegation that the P1 President was removed 'because he's English'? If there is, please make it public and I'll be the first to support you. If there isn't, stoking up the flames with reckless unsubstantiated statements dressed up as 'fact' is irresponsible.

Lets's keep this xenophobic paranoia out of the discussion, unless there's actual evidence to support it.

Doesn't change the fact that the hand of ML seem to be all over this and they should have no say in it and their concerns should have been brought to the level 2 presidents only and not in an open letter to the owners.

Plus the other side of the story should have been heard at the meeting...procedure may have been followed but there is a difference between ticking the boxes and fair procedure.

If the presidents do not formally complain about the very public actions taken against the level 1 president they voted for then its obvious to all who is running this show.

There is none so blind as those who wont see!!!!!

1st post only recently!!

Cappielow I dont know what you do in life in the UK or belgium but just look at the bigger picture of what has happened here instead of hiding behind red tape and beurocracy..

I'm not the only one on here who can see further than the end of his nose!

You're obviously a very well balanced bloke Chaddyowl, a chip on both shoulders! ;)

I personally think it's more down to personality rather than nationality, buy hey, if you want to believe the latter with absolutely no evidence whatsoever to support it, don't let me stop you. Fill your boots!

Regardless of what people think of Phil Tann personally the simple truth is that there is a right and a wrong way of treating people and this whole business over the past week has disgusted me. This is not what I bought into and I can't believe the way things are going. I want to know the truth but I know I will never get to know the real truth but I only hope that this situation gets better for us all and that our adminstrator take on board all comments and look to implement some immediate fixes to help improve communications and transparancy. Personally I have very little confidence in any of them at the minute. The only one that filled me with confidence was Paco Mangano the level 2 president on La Isla who resigned who worked extremely hard for ther good of the community and for what. He stood down and now nothing is moving on La Isla. Its a disgrace and a crying shame good people are being knocked down due to power struggles and god knows what else at the top.

For the poster who asked what my solicitor advised. Quite simple it was to expose Polaris for false advertising via Watchdog and other means like this as it would be difficult to fight a company that has so many connections. I decided against that for now because I didn't want to be the 1 making this public. Partly because I was also very happy with the progress Paco was making on La Isla but now I feel like we are back to square one.

Who are all these people that get voted in? What is there background and credentials and as level 2 presidents and as owners who do we know these people are suitable? I am fed up of mates voting mates with the safety in numbers approach. I would much rather have strong and independant people that are impartial that is keen to work with owners to take things forward.

Our final nightmare at MCC was as a result of British people / wannabe Spanish  who entrusted everything to Spanish people... regardless of the fact that the Spanish population on the urbanisation were actualy a considerable minority.

The Spanish culture is different, make no mistake, and one of the reasons for the current Spanish nations difficulties is because of that cultural difference !!

Don't trust Spanish culture to deliver a N. European expectation, it will not happen !!... Not knocking the new Spanish President at Condado but decide what you expect and who can deliver, It will not be Spanish Administration at this point in time unfortunately.

Again I wsh you all the luck in the world because in the short term at least I think Condado needs it... we really are here if you want to chat.
