Hi all, Sorry to put a dampener on all of the excitement, but l personally am not getting carried away with the 'news' that the building licence has at last been granted. If you look at the situation as it is now the developer (according to them) has 18 months to complete and exchange, which means that they have until OCTOBER 2009 to fulfil their obligations, and we shouldn't be surprised if this is the road they go down. All is not lost though, in SPANISH LAW the 18 month period begins the moment that excavations for the foundations have been dug, and an extention to the build time is NOT automatic just because it was in the small print on the contract. We as buyers have more rights under SPANISH LAW than either the selling agent or their associates would have us believe. If enough of us invoke our legal rights and inform the developer that the build period actually began in November 2007 and that the completion date is in fact May 2009, and that if they fail to meet their obligations we will seek compensation. Surely after all of the B!%*@$T that has been shoveled in our direction a bit of self interest is not a bad thing. you are right to air your opinion thats what this forum is all about, and yes if they try to push our completion dates to October I will join forces with yourself and whoever else to put the pressure on. I'm hoping to be in by May and feel we have been waiting long enough.
Looking at the forum photos there seems to be a lot of building going on and I would be surprised if the builder isn't in a hurry to complete just as we are, although they have our deposits I'm sure they would rather complete and have the other 70% too.
They are probably as frustrated as we are and lets hope that this time next year we will be in our properties soaking up the Spanish sun.

Hi all
my lawyer has just sent me a copy of the building licence for corvera 5 pages, all stamped and looks complete, not had time yet to have a good read through, tried to copy and paste to message board but not had much luck. but at last some actual confirmation of licence being in place

wouldnt worry to much about getting hold of a copy of the licence, its all in spanish, what i can tell you that is the real thing, all on crested headed paper and underlined ayuntamiento de murcia ( city of murcia ) officially stamped and signed by Da Ainhoa Martinez Lopez.
i am in the process of translating all five pages, will get back to you when finished, must be a way of copy and paste to forum but cant seem to get it to copy, ill try again .

Hi All,
Fantastic news - just received the following email from our Lawyers:
"With regards to your property at Corvera Golf and Country Club, please be advised that they have obtained the Building Works Licence for the construction of Phase 1 and part of Phase 2 of the Promotion of Corvera Golf & Country Club.
Corvera Golf has confirmed that they will finish the building works for the month of May 2009"
They enclosed a copy of the licence which looks like it has a bar code printed on each page (like the ones you see on airline tickets). The licence is dated 10th April 2008.

Hi all
Thanks for the info Debieh7 , the email states that the licence has been granted for the construction of phase 1 and part of phase 2, this poses the question which part of phase 2 has planning permission? If any one knows or becomes aware of the answer I would appreciate some info on the subject. I'll attempt to contact my solicitor but would rather not wait months for the answer.

Hello all
Don't know if this helps, but athough still waiting for licence confirmation from our solicitors, Pablo (Corvera) has confirmed that as of last Friday, permissions for both of our properties are in place, we should all have an update from Calidona in the next 2 weeks, completion is still estimated for May 2009 and finally that Calidona are setting up an After Sales team. We have a Tilo apt in block 134 and a Laurel in C36.
I will let you know if I hear anything from the solicitor, but not holding my breath, and, sorry if this is old news (haven't gone through whole thread :)

you are just a couple of blocks down from us we are in block 121 right at the end near the road leading into phase 1, are the laural type the apartments that face onto the tilo blocks.
from the latest pictures from calidonia you can see that the infrastructure to the tilo blocks are well on the way to be completed, would be nice if we could get some closer pictures to give us some idea of the spaces between the blocks.
hopefully know the licence is in place calidona will soon be making contact with us all,

Hi,
In response to Kev - we have heard from our lawyer that the licences now granted are only for apartments in phases 1 & 2 - not for villas - bad news for me I'm afraid - but Calidona say the licences for the villas will be issued in approx 2 weeks. The lawyer is seeking confirmation from the Town Hall direct when this happens.

Thanks for the info mazbaz & difi, I'm glad that point has been clarified. So the good news is, as I have two apartments on phase 2 they have planning permission, as does everyone else with apartments on phase 1& 2. Difi I hope you and the other villa owners get your licence soon.
