Dear, dear me Erinzak, feeling a bit put out are we? What other reaction do you expect when you enter a forum where people have all purchased on the same development and totally trash it. You got what you deserved!
Anita.

Hi Joe, just wondered if you worked for the Mayor's office or have you been rifling through his post!!? How do you know that the majority of applications on his desk are for developments that are not self sufficient with regards to water - apart from the fact that you know a man who knows a man who knows. You're implying we shouldn't believe what we have been told, what makes your source so reliable. If you want to sit on the fence on this one, its up to you - JUST DON'T FALL OFF WILL YOU .

Hi Joe, that was not a "rant" as so called. Yes I did read your post properly, however, some solicitors are connected to certain developments/developers/estate agents etc. as you will only too know if you are that "in the know". However, I also had a deposit returned to me by a developer who also did not obtain their Licence - about to go to Court, etc, etc. So don't be so condescending. We all have horror stories. However, my point is what is your point?? Why are you trying to scare monger purchasers on this forum. I wish I could re-read your posting, but it seems to have disappeared. Also I did not imply you were a burglar, what a silly, childish, comment. If you read my posting properly you would realise that what I was asking was why was your information more trustworthy that ours, which is what you are implying by saying "you have been warned". What's that all about? I have contributed to many Forums and have my feelings on many individual developments, but have never been a part of one that slated the development belonging to that forum. If you have nothing positive to say, say nothing.

In an attempt to calm the waters, I would suggest that you are both correct. We can only know what people tell us or want us to believe. Sadly, rumours are rife about the current situation in Murcia, and its incredibly difficult to find the truth. I have been told (by MRI and by the developer for 'my' development at Lorca) that no more licences will be granted in Murcia until after the elections in May. There is an emerging water supply crisis in Spain and the local Mayors have been discussing solutions for a long time. Some golf courses recycle the water, so perhaps this will be made a condition for future developments, who knows? It seems at the moment we have to play a waiting game. Maybe we should agree to differ sometimes but to concentrate on offering mutual support? Its a worrying situation for us all.
Best wishes,
Dixie

I think we are all venting our feelings out on each other because there is litttle or no factual information regarding commencement coming from the developer.
I feel we should be venting our frustrations out on them, the only problem is achieving this, i have requested written confirmation of what licences are required and which have been approved, and which have not, if all licences are in place i have requested information stating what the delay is regarding commencement.
I do not know if i will get a reply, but if and when i do i will post it on the forum, we must all try to keep faith that it will be worth all the hassle in the long term.

Spot on Dave
There is some truth in the issues surrounding licences in Murcia as the council has been bombarded with requests for golf urbanisations and rightly so are protecting the region from a concrete jungle as in other parts of Spain.
Lets all be confident on this one though as I believe Corvera already has every licence in place other than the final erection permit which I am sure will not be an issue. I hear 1000 or so units have been sold so far, the PGA commitment to the course, the low density of housing and the credentials of the developer are all very strong positives.
The problem is that we are not used to 'manana' yet and as Dave states the lack of info allows any speculation to escalate.

Hi all, I have not posted much on the forums, but am an avid reader. I have just recieved an email from my agent (MRI ) informing me that there is a delay with the issuing of the 2nd licence that is required, but they have been assured by the developer ( who to date has not responded to a similar request for information ) that the required documentation should be with them no later than the end of June. It appears then that we must watch this space a little longer!!

Whilst I appreciate there are many scare stories in Spanish developments at the moment, I do not think for one minute the PGA would allow their name be attached to Corvera if there was not a lot of substance to the viability of Corvera. This was a huge reason for our buying there in the first place.
We were over last week and took a trip up to see how it's going. There were works going on as we were there on the ground, which was encouraging. We took a good few snaps, but seeming as someone else put up a few pics as well last week there is no real point in putting up very similar ones ourselves.

Hi Joe,
See "Slow Progress" and "Corvera Socially" threads. Many of us have been told Licences are now in place but will not be taken up until September when building actually starts following the summer break. No building work is done in Spain in August. Once they do start they are tied into the 18 month clause in our contracts.

Joe is only posting a " I told you so" message, he is not really interested in the progress of Corvera. As from previous posts he does seem to enjoy a bit of banter with this forum.
I am sure we will all have the last laugh!
