Stand up and be counted - if you are on R10!

Hi everyone

I am trying to get a list of names of people who have bought on R10 and who will be our future neighbours!  We are buying an Azucena, which is no 694, and I already have lots of pink dots on my map (which I think only covers half of R10 as some numbers aren't on it.)  I have 21 other names, so a long way to go!

Me & Sue are also on R10 -  #36 ( Azucena ).

We are front line of Azucenas, behind the front 3 rows, ( golf course line ), of detached villas !

Looking forward to meeting all concerned on this forum, and to making new friends !

We haven't had much personal input into the forum so far, but, we regularly read others comments, and agree, ( mostly ), with the sane ones, that don't try to scaremonger !

A lot of people, and there hard earned cash ,have been sank into this project, including, ( we believe ), a company that has invested in a vast amount of properties at SADM. They probably have more to lose than any of us ?

San Joses' reputation is also on the line........lets's not forget that small issue !

Research...Reasearch...Research is the key, ( as stated by the few ! ).

I have been researching for over 3 years, and SADM is where my gut feeling led me to !

I'm sure, in the long run, we'll all look back on this in the near future, and say " Hey........what was all the worry about ? Look at what we've got now........and look what we paid for it too !!"

Malcolm & Linda - you're not far from Ian & Liz, also Barry & Sue.

Kenny & Yvonne - you're not that far from us and you're opposite Tony B.   I have already met Rachel (no 716), who is also quite close to us and she is very nice.

Barry & Sue - you have a fantastic spot!  You are next door to Ian and Jean and close to several other members.  I assume you bought early on when prices were good too - lucky so and so's! We are a lot further back, however we are hoping to sit out on our solarium in the evening with a glass of vino to watch the sun set over Jumilla - preferably in a hot tub!  John has the same thoughts as you over the scaremongering.  We had been on many viewing trips before we came across SADM and we too immediately thought this was the place for us.

Having said this, we are all going to be fairly close to each other.  Look forward to meeting you all!

You are next door to Rose & Dave.  I haven't met them yet but I had an email from Rose, who sounds really nice.  They will be moving to Spain as soon as their house is ready.  What about everybody else?  We will be moving in 2009, however are hoping our house is ready before then so we can have some holidays in SADM!

We are 650.  Our Azucena looks towards the town.  We can't wait to sit out of an evening seeing the lights of the town and the castle on the hill.

Hi Everyone. Our first contribution to forum. 

Just wanted to advise that we have bought Azucena R10 - No 22.

Completion given as May 08 ??????   although great to see todays new photos which shows some progree.

We are wondering re 2 or 3 bedromms for the property - have not seen any opinions about this and just wondered what the consensus is?

Hi chris welcome to the forum we bought no 23 in 2005 and given completion as may 2007. we are happy to wait so long as progress is being made on site. we are going to move to spain when it is ready possibly may 2008 are you???

Nice to hear from you - especially as we are neighbours.

Hope you like loud rock music all night long!!!!

 - only joking we are looking for the peaceful life when we eventually retire.

This will not be for a few years yet so will be using villa for holidays and rental to friends and relatives etc.

Your wait has been particularly long so lets hope SJ cracks on. You would presume that they are as anxious as us to see properties completed - cashflow and all that.

You must be on the other half of R10, as I can't find your number on my map!  My map has 654 and 1 in the top two corners, with 624 and 38 in the bottom two corners, however I am keeping a list of numbers that aren't on my map, so I can tell you that you have near neighbours at 404 (Malc & Sarah) and 614 (wjs).  I will try and remember to get a map covering the rest of R10 when I visit in September.

My pleasure!  Just in case you are feeling very special, I must add that there are other very nice people, some of whom we met at Torquay, and I am about to mention two of them in a later post!

I haven't got any names for your immediate neighbours, however John, Tracey and Rachel are at number 710, which isn't too far away, plus John and I are close enough to pop round if we run out of coffee/sugar/vino tinto!

Hi Jackie and Bob - good to hear from you!

As I was saying earlier, there are two other very nice as well as very talented people (not suggesting that you don't have hidden talents, Rachel!) and they are Jackie and Bob.  They were our wonderful hosts at the weekend in Torquay (PM them if you fancy a weekend in their hotel - hope that is OK to mention, Justin?). 

Jackie and Bob, you aren't too far from us, so if Rachel is out when we call round for the coffee/sugar/vino, you may very well be our next stop!

As well as Malcolm and Linda, you have neighbours at no 20, though I don't have a name for them yet!

We decided to go for 2 bedrooms, as most of the time there will just be the two of us.  Obviously all our friends and family will be very keen to see us once we move to Santa Ana del Monte, and my daughter Kate was talking about every weekend, however she will need a better paid job to cover the air fares!  We are getting a good sofa bed for the living room, and will probably get a folding screen to give a bit of privacy, however that will give us a bigger living space when we don't have visitors.

OK everybody - who is going to host the first R10 party?!  Maybe we need to arrange to hold it at the Club House as we already have over 40 names!

We probably have other neighbours already that we are unaware of, as 50% of buyers so far have been Spanish, plus there are probably some unfortunate Brits who haven't found this Forum yet!

You make us blush with modest embarrassment .  Just in case there are those out there who did not hear of our exploits at the Torquay get together and are wondering what our talents are ....

well,  Bob plays the guitar very well and we both sing.  Some even seem to enjoy listening to us

Hospitality is what we do here at the hotel and (within reason) we hope to keep our front door open to our new neighbours and friends - you won't even need the excuse of wanting to borrow coffee/sugar/vino
