Hi VS.
When I was last out I had a visit from a couple. He was selling an upgrade to the security system with direct contact to the police and a security firm, never subscribed to the upgrade. She was selling a phone line but to be able to have the system installed she would require as many subscribers on the development as possible and would probabley take about 6 months. Again I did not subscribe as I would just use my mobile during any visits. I was talking to Ana and she indicated that a GPS system was to be installed, as I understand this would involve satalite systems so no need for phone lines into the development. Could be costly, this I am assuming would be the same system as used for offshore vessels. There is a couple who are living full time on the development who have internet ( broadband ?) through there mobile provider. Not sure on the full details but you obtain a modem type connection from your mobile provider that just plugs into your PC/ Laptop and away you go, you do not need to connect to your mobile as the unit is selfcontained. I think the connection may be more like dial up than broadband because Pauline did comment that for e mails it was fine but picture downloads were slow. I told them about this web site so, if they register then you may get more answers to your question. I hope they do register as with them living on the development full time they would be able to keep everyone updated on progress etc.
