Hi Colin & Pdrich
Pdrich is right this has been pointed out a long time ago on this site and 'Manilva Life' it only applies to the apartments that have the external French doors with 'Juliet balcony' I have brought this to the attention of Arenal and Prienesur without much joy to date. I was told that as the architect drawings states French doors they cannot be changed to sliding doors. I took this as being a easy story to tell to placate me, needless to say I am not convinced. You may be able to change them your self once in, but I do feel very strongly that those of us who have this situation have been cheated as the apartment was sold as two bedroomed apartment, and as you rightly say if you put two beds in that room you cannot open the doors! Clearly we have been mislead but litigation is a costly business be it here or Spain. Maybe a 'class action' may help?
My frame to the doors has been permanently damaged by the builders on site during construction and consequently do not open properly. Something extremely heavy has been dropped on the frame from what would appear a high height. My solicitor and Prienesur are aware and I will only complete once the frame has been changed and then I am hoping that they will put in the sliding doors. But I am not holding my breath
