Congratulations MikenMandy.
We have just received an email from our solicitor saying Huma have made us an offer of a full refund, the only arguement we have is who is going to pay the lagal fees. which comes to approx 10%.
Regards
Steve

Thanks
My question for Andersons is why no interest?
On the ACC web site HUMA are stating that the rumours of bankruptcy are wrong, the colour of their money doesn't show that.

Exactly, I thought the idea of the Andersons project was to take it all the way and get the refund plus interest on the money !! - Period........
What happened there ?

It seems that Andersons are making a deal of money on this. If interest, legal fees and compensation was obtained maybe it would be worth while but if Huma are not paying out the extras then the only ones to gain are Andersons. Why go through a solicitor for money back when you could deal direct with Huma if you are prepared to accept payments back without interest?

I have been paitently waiting, not making a fuss, still waiting for my BG and for personal reasons have now decided to pull out. My agent has told me to contact Huma direct rather than via a solicitor. I have now approached Huma for a refund of the deposit paid without interest or compensation. Huma have told me they will not deal with me direct, the only way forward is for my solicitor to contact the legal department at Huma. Has anyone else had the same response.

Has your purchase contract expired with the 6 months added ? If so, the developer should deal with you direct and refund you without question. If the contract has not expired then that is a different issue and the reason why they say use a solicitor. If the contract is still valid, and you want to cancel, you would loose your deposit.
My personnal view is that this is another stalling tactic so that they can hold onto your money.
If you do have to go via a solicitor I would also add interest. Tell the developer this in no uncertain terms..............also put a diffinitive time scale on things.
Good Luck.

Thanks, Sure you can.
Haven't signed anything to say that's a full and final payment.
The cheques in our account, should have cleared on Monday if Spain is the same as England.
Still waiting for a reply from Anderson's.
Paradors my next port of call
