Try www.travelsupermarket.com and www.skyscanners.com for flight prices - they compare all the airlines including the budget airlines.  At the moment Monarch seem to be one of the cheapest - flying from Manchester, although we've accepted that if we go out in August hopefully to deal with furniture etc, we will have to pay a premium for the flights.  Still cheaper than the cruise we were planning to do in August and have now cancelled!  Also hoping to go out in October half term - hope to meet some of you then.

Hi all,

We are all like a bunch of expectant fathers waiting to see what we get at the end of it all.

We are in Jardin 1, complete 8th Aug, having to go POA route as did not expect this early. We took a gamble earlier by booking hols (2 weeks Oct 3 - 17) as this was our original expected completion but works out well as hopefully utilities on then and we can look forward to furnishing etc.

Having had brief spell of sunshine up here in Co. Durham, we are really excited about going over and feeling the heat again.

Good luck to everyone and hope to see many of you pretty soon.

Davell

Think that's the summer over for us in County Durham.

Would be nice to meet up with the people we have been speaking to on the forum and put faces to names.

My solicitor has just informed me that Polaris Customer Service confirmed to her today that all properties in Jardines would have builders electric and water supplies connected at completion.  Apparently the Management thought it would be unfair not to because they have done it at the other developments.

This means all of us will have access and can use our apartment from completion but still have to wait for the official utilities connections to be made sometime after (30-60 days according to PW).

A word of caution though, I have asked my solicitor to get it in writing from PW to be sure.  If it's true then great news for everyone (especially us as now we don't have to rearrange flights booked on the assumption we could sort furniture and stay there!!!)

A bit of positive news at last!

Regards
Tim

A word of warning.

Builders electric/water is notorious for going off when they feel like it. Given they will still be working on site this might be a regular occurrence

Another word of warning ,

I have read somewhere that if you furnish your apartment before the snagging  work has been completed by polarisworld they will not enter your property until you sign a form exempting them from liability if they damage your furniture/ eletrical goods etc

regards Ken
