Paid Vacation Rental Sites versus Free Sites Versus My Own Site... My Experience...

Just had an e-mail from Silvia at Polaris World to say that the Habitation Licences have arrived - not only has she confirmed this but she has also sent copies to me as an attachment!  They Certificates are in Spanish but even I can work out that they are a Licence for First Habitation for our specific plot numbers and they also have a photograph of the individual apartment on each as well.

Also had an e-mail from our solicitor to say that she is planning to complete on our behalf next Wednesday, 18th June.  She has been in touch with the Banks and they have confirmed that date is OK so it's all falling into place now.  

Not sure whether all the Certificates have been received or whether there is still a backlog but at least it hasn't been too long to wait.   Hopefully those of you going out to complete over the next few days and weeks will be able to do the completions whilst you are in Spain.

This is really good news I was beginning to be concerned about these Licenses. If you read the General Forum many people have had problems in getting to completion and Habitation Licences have often been part of that. At least we can see that they do get issued without a marathon wait. Hope all goes well for the next wave of completions.

Congratulations Debbie and all those that will soon  be getting that all important email and call,  and a big sigh of relief for all I bet !!!

I am curious as to which jardine you are in, I am due to complete on the 18th also but have had no e-mail as of yet, we are in jardine 4.

Good news for habitation certs 

does this mean you have got the water gas and electric hooked up in order to receive habitation licence.

We are in Jardin 12, where I think most of the completions have been so far.  If you have not heard anything from PW to say that your Habitation Certificate may not be ready for next week, then it probably means they either already have it or expect to have it by then.  Our Habitation Certificates were issued by the Murcia Town Hall last Friday 6th June, so it may be that they have done a big batch of Certificates for all the Jardins where the properties are completed.  It's probably just the first couple of weeks of completions that have been affected.

With regard to the services, there is no gas at Condado anyway but we have left the completed forms for PW to apply for the services with our solicitor.  I assume they will be handed over at the completion next week but I will check with our solicitor on Wednesday after the completion appointment.  PW have indicated that we will be connected to the builder's water and electricity but again I will be asking them to confirm that is in place after Wednesday.

Not heard of any completions this week but there seem to be a few arranged for next week - good luck to all of you going out to Murcia over the next few days and hope everything goes smoothly for you.

we are in Jardines 11 and due to complete on Tuesday 17th June , To date certificate has not been issued. Local council not issuing in order of completion , but in batches of their own choosing.  some due to complete may not have licence whilst someone not due to complete may already have the licence.  Que sera sera

Do you have to pay for utility connection at completion when you fill in forms or do they ask for it on your first bill ?

Hi Carol,

I think they take it straight from your account - as we had to provide bank details on the form.  But have to confess I don't know whether it will be taken straight away or whether it will be added to the first bill.  Information on things like this is a bit vague but I'm trying to adopt the Spanish way of life by not worrying about it!  Just need to make sure we have enough money in the Spanish account to cover everything!

WIll let you know if I get any more info after our completion next week.

Like you say need to leave enough in account just in case they take it out straight away.  Just trying to work out how much I will need to transfer over to make up shortfall of mortgage and fees on completion.
