hear what you are saying, i can say I was actually banned twice (whoopee-doo), and to challenge Lincoln's words, Anna does make money for the advertising, or at least that is the impression given. I was denied access to the site after i opted to advertise my business on EoS rather than SAdM. Like anyone in business would do, analyse cost v return, EoS has a greater number of members therefore greater target advertising market, can give a broader view of issues and necessities with moving to Spain (if you view the General Forum and not just SAdM). SAdM forum had three other businesses on there all targeting the same initial market, Dawn & paul have come out to Spain and been a success.........we wish them well, Steve plans to do the same............wish him success, and we have our business out here, which in the current climate is doing fair to middling could be better but anyone at the moment will say that ! 

I find it appalling (and now I'm one of them) how people can just post nonsense on here that can be derogitory to someone else, with the view that once upon a time, these very same people would be neighbours, I think if it had / or does go ahead, i'm gonna ask Pilar to erect me an 8ft perimeter wall around my plot with watch-towers in place on every corner.......or perhaps i'm use to people taking 'pot-shots' already now.

Most annoying is that one silly post by lincoln gets read and mentions abuse over the personal messaging facility (is it still personal if the administrator reads all messages...hmmmm) yet it's the same system i use on EoS to pass and share information with all the friends and contacts that i have made over the years on this forum, and the reason why people post back when i say i am no longer going to contribute anymore, if we didnt do some good to the community, why would so many be bothered with our absence......................anyway enuff said.

anna, if you read this, i still repsect you, you have done wonders for your community and i still (if you read other posts), direct people over to your forum. The fact you and i see differently should have remained between us and not been brought out into public by Lincoln. If you want to retaliate, it's your perogative but firstly i would consider the actions of your own members in doing so. Hope you and the family are well and enjoy your property and lives elsewhere.

Darren, i have always thought that Anna would get some sort of payment, whoelse would pay all the expense for running the site without reward. Time and effort alone she puts in is commendable tho.

I actually got told by some of the owners you tried to slander other buinesses to not by the moderator at all. No doubt many of the people reading this know it is true by the comments you have made to them. Although your answer tells me at I am exactly right in my allegation as you have not denied anything just said that the moderator shouldnt have read . Therefore I think you should look to yourself for reasons why you were banned.

As for making money. Who exactly would this money be made from? My understanding was the only people who paid for advertising were the people who were opening property maintenance companies. I believe they paid £100 quid each for a year  - so  total of £300 which no where near covers the costs of a site like that for a total of three years. The charge was not to make money but to assist in the development of the site or everyones benefit. This was made common knowledge and was posted on this site months ago. Infact no further request was ever made to the businesses in question after the first year as it was not appropriate given the stoppage of building etc and the inability of the site to develop for their benefit.

So malc go stick it. No doubt the reason why you annoyed the moderator so much is precisely because she is spending so much time on running the site and the site is costing her money on top. No doubt she wonders why she bothers with people like you giving her s***

It is a simple question to ask, so a simple answer would suffice.

Hi all just thought I would bring this thread back to the top as it makes for intersesting reading .It all seems so very long ago now 

Certainly explains alot about malc and why he is bitter and twisted . Personally I make it a rule never to give financial or investments advice to family members as there is no such thing as a safe bet and if things went wrong I would be racked with guilt .This in turn  could make me become bitter and twisted and lead me to post untrue nasty relentless slagging matches on EOS .  It may even result in me taking leave of my senses and becoming a SARC member . Hello everyone

Such a shame that this forum has degenerated into a slagging match again.  Having attended a friendly meeting of our Comunidad de Propietarios last night, I dread to think what the equivalent meeting at SADM would have been like if many of the forum members had been present!  

I am sure that most people are very happy for Magic Meg, however MM please don´t gloat too much about having all that money to spend.  Many of us are facing losing lots of money and we weren´t rich investors, just ordinary hard-working people who had a dream, but weren´t given good advice until it was too late for us.  I am pleased that I never advised any relatives to buy at SADM and would have felt guilty if I had done so, even if it was in good faith, so let´s not mock anybody who has actually done so.

I was just in a hurry as I was late for a meeting .As for the written English  thing  what I find irritating is when it is so bad that the post does not make sense ,not just a few grammatical or spelling errors which any one can make .
