Just joined the forum, this is great information. We are in jardin 9.
We came back last thursday from our visit to complete snagging. And since we have been home I have been trying to find prices on awnings this has helped me loads.

We stayed at La Torre and can confirm we saw lots of different kinds of awnings including the bamboo type.
I was once told you are also not allowed to have washing out but loads of apartments on La Torre have the washing on the balconies.

I was on La Torre last week also, returning to UK on Thursday, bet we were at airport at same time too, I am going to put my bamboo up no matter what they say, its neutral, natural and not gawdy at all so cant see there being a problem, might put some up at back too so they cant see what I hang on my illegal washing line .... Ohhh I am not being very angelic am I ..........

We could'nt be bothered with the hastle and ordered the awning from Polaris at a cost of 977.72 euros which when I got my card statement in actually cost us £799.75 but they are fitting it so we did'nt think this was too bad.

Is that for just the awning or do you get any side panels with it?

Sorry to say  Carol that is only the awning.  If we need the side panels we thought we could probably pick them up somewhere?? and fit them easily enough ourselves.

Someone told me earlier that they got some form IKEA here in UK but we couldnt find them online in the Murcia Store, I know they quoted me between 1500 - 2500 for all side panels and awning which I thought I can wait for and spend money on something else...... I am sure everything will work out

Take a look at http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/60125785 , can't find them on the ikea.es web site though

They still have them in the Uk so i will probably get two and take over with me sometime.
