Hi Phil
Although your idea does make sense and probably works in other developments, I cant think of anywhwere that you could put a screened off area into practice around the jardin areas that will not ruin someones view

If you have a penthouse and take a look on the top roof the hooks etc that are for the washing lines are not in view from below at all they are quite tucked away, and they are definately intended for that as it was Polaris who informed us of them. Even if you put large sheets up you would not be able to see them. This is only the Penthouses though not sure about Jardines, i asssume as they have more terrace space i.e above and behind that people would hang washing there, but can see what you mean about it may be looking unsightly.

Hi All,
Firstly I thought it was Bob the builder who said "Can we do it." "Yes we can". Secondly, I go the colour of a lobster on a hot day just putting the bin bags out.. Thats here in the UK. Anyone who wants to provide Penthouse block 1 solarium with shade for me is welcome.

To be honest, I am glad the no washing line rules have been enforced.
Remember that people will start to have barbecues soon, and if you put your washing out before going out for the day, your washing is going to be smelling of smoke by the time you come back!
I'm sure that Polaris will eventually have to build a launderette if they are imposing rules for no washing lines.
Does anyone know if Polaris have planned this already?
Regards
Pam

Hi All
Just got back last night. If anyone is interested I hung my washing on the roof top of our penthouse (block 3 yesterday) using the hooks on the pergola. We then walked right out onto the course/driving range and could not see it. Granted it wasn't a windy day and it was white bedding and white towelIs which probably helped it to blend in but I will definitely be hanging it out again. It took about 2 hours to dry all my towels and king size bedding. Much better than trying to use the airer on the balcony. I will probably only dry white/light coloured things though I'll have to dry Simons union Jack shorts on the balcony!

Hi Joanne and Simon,
We're in Ossett (Wakefield) and Block 2 so not so far away from you wherever we are!!! Nigel's from Leeds(but i don't hold that against him) LOL.
Apparently the hooks on the rooftops are meant to be used for washing lines. I used it when I was over at Easter, and i tried to spot my washing from all directions but it was quite well hidden. Dries the washing really well!!
I'm over again tomorrow so no doubt be using the line again.

We are in the Jardines, and have used a clothes airer....you soon find that with clothes/towels/bedding they don't blow over.....the good news is in the three bed, there's plenty of wind coming through the rear patio and I would think the washing is as nice to look at as the car park! In the two bed the airer is concealed either outside the front door or on the solarium as it is lower than the wall level.......
Personally, visible washing is low on my list for rules.....no football in the jardin, no stone throwing by kids on the play areas, keeping dogs on leads, dogs being left outside all night (and barking at every passing 2am or 6am), and dogs washing in the pools are higher up my list ;) - and all these have been witnessed in the last two weeks

Hi
Have been over loads and always hang out washing upstairs on solarium in the two bedroom apt. I wouldnt do it if my neighbours were out having something to eat (and usually have it out early in the morning and brought in before lunch time) but as there has never been anyone on the rooftop I dont see any problem. The washing takes about two hours to dry. Agree that there are far more pressing things to worry about than some washing on a line ('specially as its clean!).
Dogs messing on the grass and washing in the pool much more of a concern - when we were out at Easter we had a dead mouse in our pool for couple of days - mind you water soo cold it was well preserved!

......all the comments on this subject make Condado sound just like a 5 star resort (not !). Hopefully someone at some point will try to uphold standards by employing a few jobsworths. Now that will be community fees wellspent !
There will always be dog owners that don't see their dog having a play in the pool or relieving themselves anywhere as a problem, there will always be parents who are happy for their kids to throw stones around provided its well away from their property, etc, etc
