Hi All

We have been advised by other people that have bought on new developments that as we will not be out there all the time that we should change our locks as keys have been lent out to lots of different tradespeople & you can never be to careful.

We have had a quote from Inside Right at between 50 - 75 euros per lock.

What are other peoples thoughts on this?

Has anyone else had any quotes?

Also has anyone had any quotes on buildings & contents insurance?

Kind Regards Sue & David

Hi Sue & David

In addition to changing the door locks we have been told that most Spanish windows just lift out of their frames and so should have locks attached as well. I thinks we were quoted by Ambasun 24 euros per window for locks with keys and 60 euros per door. However when we rented a townhouse in Roda they had a simple device which consisted of drilling a hole through the window and attaching a screw through the window to secure it which cost 4 euros each .

Hi All

Has anyone had any quotes on buildings and contents insurance yet??

Also has anyone had a valuation done on a quad?

Sounds like it is an average of 60 euros to change the locks, but if anyone has had any keener quotes please let us know as we will have to have this done when we go out on the 27th when hopefully we will have completed. Taray have sent a letter to say the property is ready, our solicitor is just waiting some paperwork from th land registry.

Kind Regards David & Sue

Hi

Has anyone been reading the crime on new builds in the general forum? Its quite scary and wondered if there was any plans to set up a neighbourhood watch or any group security in place. I know compared to the UK the crime figures are still very low but i suppose its the vulnerability factor of being in a new country, at home should anything happen you have friends family etc.

I would be happy to chip in for some sort of site security protection ... of what means i dont know and wondered if anyone else felt the same way and had any ideas......

Despite the current problems  we still cant wait to get there!!

Tina
