Hi everyone.

I will be back to check on messages at the corveraownersforum address on Monday Jan 5. The last update was a total of over 80 owners though now registered to attend the owners meeting.

My lawyer is flying over from Spain to answer all questions that have been previously sent to him and he will then have an open session to try and answer any additional queries.

If like me you're considering lots of different options and would like the legal perspective on your position please contact me to register for the meeting.

Please e-mail proof of ownership as explained in my below message to corveraownersforum@live.co.uk

The meeting is in The West Midlands on Saturday January 10.

I will be asking all owners to attend with original proof of ownership and identity to make sure this meeting is solely for owners.

Best Wishes

Lisa

An update for everyone.

To date 94 owners have now registered to attend the meeting this Saturday, January 10th in the West Midlands.

I'd urge anyone who is feeling alone and would like to meet personally and have the option to ask direct legal questions to my lawyer to please contact me to register your attendence.

Most owners share the same concerns at this time.

Once I have seen proof of ownership I will send you full details.

Please e-mail proof of ownership to: corveraownersforum@live.co.uk. Ownership proof would be the first page of your contract with any sensitive information i.e passport information blanked out or the letter from Calidona re loyalty card. Any correspondence/document that proves ownership as this is a private meeting for owners only.

Very useful feedback and legal updates have been coming through to me so it's a great opportunity for everyone to get together.

Best Wishes

Lisa

Does anybody know if Calidona are aware of this meeting (i'm sure they will be) and what there opinion is of it?

Have they asked if they could send a representative or for a copy of any minutes?

Not that they would be welcome in a closed and private meeting such as this.

But my thinking is that, if I were a developer and 94 customers had signed up to meet a solicitor with a view to a class action (or at least a class movement of some kind), I would take them seriously and try to appease their concerns?

Maybe thats just me, but it would be interesting to hear if they had made any comments about it at all?

Hi there. I think at this stage it would be a little early for dialogue with Calidona. The meeting is an exchange of ideas. I don't think any of us know the outcome or how our meeting will progress but it's a chance for owners to make contact with other owners and express all their comments privately, both positive and negative.

There's no plan for any class action that I'm aware of but an opportunity to freely express and exchange ideas.

All owners very welcome.Proof of ownership and UK address etc will be asked for at every stage to keep things private.

Of course Calidona will be aware of the eyeonspain forum it's open to all, no problem at all with that but I think it's fantastic that almost 10% of all Corvera owners will be attending the meeting.

It would be great if all owners aware of the details would please keep these personal. Anyone wishing to attend should contact me through the group meeting thread.

Best Wishes for 2009

Lisa

To date 107 owners have confirmed they are attending the group meeting I'd urge anyone feeling unsure or with unanswered questions to join us.

Please e-mail me with proof of ownership to corveraownersforum@live.co.uk I need to send you details quickly if you'd like to attend.

Please don't send me private messages on here as time is moving on.

E-mail a copy of the first page of your contract (with sensitive information i.e passport numbers blanked out) or any other ownership correspondence proving your ownership.

There's an awful  lot of property ownership shared amongst our group, getting together to express our opinions/information can only be a hugely beneficial experience for everyone.

If we combine together as a group there is now strength in anything we go forward to do... I think 107 plus owners have a chance at being listened to and those are the owners able to attend I'm in touch with almost 130 owners now and growing daily!

Please please please !!!! can I ask you not to mention anything said in confidence through the group e-mail information. I'm really sorry but the location and all the details are strictly private and I've gone to huge lengths to protect any information given to me by owners.

I won't be putting any information on here... it's totally private and for the owners who have given me proof of ownership.

A lot of personal opinion and information is being passed around and shouldn't be discussed on here please.

Nobody knew the location of our meeting until now and I'm a litle upset that it's now common knowledge.

The location of our meeting is purely private and I'm a little upset that part of that information has now been put into open forum.

I'm sure you didn't mean to make my life difficult but I have put hours and hours into organising everything and I really do have to stress any information at all given through the private e-mail address should not be shown or talked about on here.

Lisa

This is like the secret service

I honestly think you are all wasting your time, money and effort here because Calidona have strict budgets to work to so they wont budge on a thing believe me

65WL,

There's no point in being pessimistic - it wouldn't work anyway!

No, not the secret service - just commonsense.

Ash

Dont forget Ash

This is a Spanish developement with a lot of Spanish buyers who must be thinking here we go the Brits at it again

Calidona will not budge on anything even if you get 10000 people together Stop wasting everyones time and just walk away as this developement is doomed in these times

In the future who knows!!!!!!!!!

Lisa

I am sorry about posting information about the meeting but I only got the information from this forum!!!!!

I cannot make the meeting and have no way of letting you see documentation to prove I am an owner. I am though equally as concerned about the economic downturn as all of you and even though I am lucky in that I have purchased on Phase 4 and am quite a way off completing I am still interested to find out what is said and what is decided.

If an agreement is brokered with Calidona then it should be shared with ALL memebers and not just those who attend the meeting. Keeping it secret will make it more like the secret service mentioned here.

Kathroger

Dear 65 WL

Corvera may be a Spanish developement with a lot of Spanish buyersas you say but have you read the papers lately. The recession has also hit SPAIN. Prospective Spanish buyers are also feeling the strain after losing equity on their homes, losing employment etc.etc. I'm sure they would welcome any movement, concessions or commitments from Calidona. If the group meeting merely gives people hope then it is well worth the effort.

Lisa, there are at least 107 owners that really appreciate what you are about and all that you are doing. Looking forward to meeting a shining light of this forum, lets hope certain people don't try to dampen your enthusiasm for whatever their intentions.

65 WL - in the early stages of these developments its often the Brits (and in more recent times the Irish) that are targeted in the early stages (ie phase 1 and 2).  The Spanish tend to purchase near or at the completion of the resort (very sensible given the circumstances).  I'm sure that you can appreciate that without the first stages being completed, the whole resort won't be finished therefore I think we have quite a bit of leverage.  That said I do agree with you that a compromise is unlikely to be reached but I don't want to reflect on this time and think "what if .....".

Kath - I'm sure that the results of the meeting will eventually be known well in advance of your completion in 2015.

Yes Steve your right

But you dont hear of Spanish people doing these things

I know what Lisa is trying to acheive here and good luck to her

I am only voicing my opinion which is what forums are for and my opinion is Calidona wont budge

The pound is starting to recover now so on what grounds would Calidona see fit to move anything they already have signed

They might drop it for new sales but not excisting, you will find they are still selling properties at normal prices albeit slowly

Good luck anyway

Thanks for your input 65 WL

I fully understand that it is only your opinion, although with the restrictions of the written word so many comments can be taken out of context. I personally hate text messages for the same reason and that's why I can't wait to meet so many of this forums members face to face where you can hopefully judge true feelings and sentiment.
