Corvera must be a bit concerned!!!!!

Incidently, this club house is exactly the same as Roda - anyone been there would approve - great clubhouse..

How quickly they can deliver is the question.

Another question - what good is a clubhouse without a golfcourse & when is the couse ready to PLAY?

Over  a thousand completing by the end of this june ?????????????

Anything else to do until the course is ready?

The least Corvera can do is offer courtesy at RODA - would be great gesture.

Anyone completing must insist.

Am I completing? ---------in for a penny.......................

Regards.

Read the update again Kev - sorry to disappoint but it's the practice area and sports facilities that they say will be ready in June 2009 - the clubhouse building is "planned for completion by the end of 2009, beginning of 2010, and will be inaugurated at the same time as the golf course".  Not so good eh?

Thanks for the correction, scanned through it a little too quickly, not so good but never the less better than 'we'll get around to it one day', I suspect that they are trying to address some of  the reasons why people might not complete, this with the timing of the golf course being one of the major ones. I would imagine that they need a lot of people to complete this year.

Hi Guys,   I feel Corvera are very concerned with all that is going on, and quite rightly so, they could end up with a BIG WHITE ELEPHANT if they don't come up with all they promised.  I'm phase 2 so its great news for me.  I was told way back in 2006 when I signed that they would bus owners to Roda for golf should our course not be ready in time. I feel it's the only option left for them. If you are on phase 1 and have completed you will need a course to play.

Talk soon

Just wondering if this facilities/build information would have any influence on a judgement from the Spanish courts for the guys out there planning legal action? As Johnathon said the judge is only human (and Spanish)! and would he now consider Calidona to be "doing their best?

A valid point and nothing in life is guaranteed. I believe that their 'best' may not be good enough - especially after 4 years and a lopsided contract. I have sent you a PM.

In response to Steve and just to reiterate what Lisa has said previously - please, please, remember that this is a public forum which can be read by ANYONE.

Ash,

Can't see Spannish courts ruling against a developer in this sort of situation.

Largely, I believe, delay was caused by the local council - all planning was on hold due to illegal buildings in the area - actually all over Spain. It was widely publicised in the press.

It took over 3 years to demolish an illegally built property (british owner) , due to legal wrangles.

And Calidona (with their mighty lawers) can quite successfully extend this case for a lot longer. I don't for a single moment believe, I hope I am wrong, that Calidona are going to hand over the deposits - easily.

There will be an appeal - if they loose........................................................

 Regards to all.

Personally I think that this thread has little that should be continued over an open forum. That is not to exclude any body whatsoever but all conversations from that meeting need to remain totally and utterly confidential. I am sure that anybody who wants to join or find out about the meeting will be willingly informed of events via Lisa Mona if you PM her. For the benefit of those who have made certain decisions from the meeting please respect Lisa's request to not dislose any of the issues on this open forum.

Please do not take this the wrong way - but general chat could compromise the situation of some people.

Hi everyone,

I totally support CAZBAZ and DIFI's comments and requests in their latest postings on this open forum, which is actively monitored, for obvious reasons.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE.......... DESIST from making postings on the open forum which refer to, discuss, or highlight any possible considerations/opinions/tactics in respect of any hypothetical or real propositions in connection with your concerns.

I have been biting my tongue for some time now as I have observed many (probably innocent) but careless airings of suggestions, opinions and points of view, even some openly discussing and (hypothetically) revealing technicalities.  Who, apart from ourselves,  may I ask, do you really think is also reading this forum avidly several times a day??!!

Of course, any thoughts or inputs of a general nature are always welcome on open forum but the time is long past, for any deeper in-depth matters, just as CAZBAZ and DIFI and others in the past, including those of mine and Lisa's, have tried to emphasise.

No doubt this posting will be like a red rag to a bull to some folks but please accept this at its face value and accept the "wake up" call accordingly. There is plenty of scope for intimate discussion between members on the private message option or by highlighting any significant concerns directly to our appointed representatives.

Thank you for your kind consideration.  Best regards,  Fizzler.

Hi All,

What is it people are afraid of if Calidona see whats going on on this forum. A good team of lawyers, which no doubt they have, will know the avenues open to the purchaser in any event. They will also be aware how the Spanish courts are leaning in cases taken by purchasers against developers.

What is the secrecy supposed to achieve? So what if Calidona realise that people are considering legal actions be it class actions or otherwise.

Regards

Bob

Just as a quick update.

The private owners group is not purely to discuss legal aspects of everyone's purchase at Corvera. We discussed many aspects of buying at our meeting.

Although I'm all in favour of freedom of speech I would like to point out  I've worked very hard in the interests of over 170 owners now and would really really really appreciate it if you would be respectful of the request to keep details discussed through the separate e-mails private.

I was open from the very start in requesting that these details remain confidential and it's done no one any good at all to discuss it here.

If anyone would like to discuss anything related to it please contact me at corveraownersforum@live.co.uk

Please e-mail me proof of ownership i.e letter from Calidona to you as an owner or first page of your contract with sensitive information blanked out if preferred.

And....... as for the conclusion of Corvera lets have a drink at that bar in 4 years time and compare notes........... maybe we'll all be happy?

I am a new user of the forum as only found it earlier this week. all the comments I found to be very interesting and usefull its nice to know there's others out there in simular position to my self. I would like to contact Lisa hoping to join the owners group as it seems an exelent idea. Its a shame I never saw this forum before the meeting would have been good to meet with other purchasers may be next time if there is one. I do appreciate the amount of work Lisa has put in to this and would be more than happy to contribute to any costs.

Regards  Colin

HI.

Gosh. I feel rtather left out of all this. Ive been blogging away on another site and feeling lonely ! sorry to have missed the forum meeting. excellent plan. and Im about 40 minutes form Birmingham too. anywyay, Im here now and Id love to join in the debate and any litigation.

legal information from me so far is that the contract has several abusive clauses.

that we should be able to claim back the deposit less 30% ( mmmm ?)

that we should have been told the property was mortgaged by calidona when we bought it  ( negligent)

do we have information on the deVere hotel contract - I hear they have not been able to agree terms ...

anyway.. where do I sign ? I just tried the address provided for the owners group twice but got a bounce back  on both occasions .. any ideas anyone ? ( I would type it in but thats not allowed apparently)
