hi,new to site purchased in cox

Hi All

Has anyone had any thoughts about extra sporage space for things like Christmas decorations, bikes, garden tools, toys etc.?

I did ask Antonio when we were out 11-13th Nov whether we would be able to have a shed or something in the garden but now feel that this would take up valuable sunbathing space and not look very attractive, although Antonio said it would be no problem.

Are there any lofts in the quads? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

We hadn't realised until we read another reply on this site that there is no loft space in the quads - We understand this is because the loft space in the roof is not divided up between the 4 houses. It is something you do not look for on your initial inspection trip. We are initially only using our property as a holiday home, but obviously if we buy bikes etc (yes we may be that energetic, however we live near Rutland water & haven't cycled around it in the 12 years we have lived here!!!!) we will need storage.

There was a good idea in an earlier thread about extending the roof on the utility/ out house & closing in the gated part to make it a secure storage area.

Are you going to be living out there full time?

When does your property complete?

Look forward to hearing any ideas you or anyone else may have

Thanks for your reply, I do think that it is quite a good idea to extend the utility area but we've bought on block 5 and they've changed the plans. The kitchen is now bigger and extends to the end of what was previously the utility area. The utility area is directly in front of this so to blcok it off would mean blocking off the kitchen, I think.

Maybe the quad owners might get together and arrange for the loft to be accessible as a joint effort or block them off into individual loft spaces with access from each property. More expense!

Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Hi All   from what we can see looking at the quads

 we dont think there will be room for loft space because they are quite shallow   but will look more closely next time we visit the site

garden sheds are an excellent substitue for  the lofts that we do not have in spain

  there is no problem in getting a garden shed arrected on your property as long as any imediate neighbous agrees to you putting one up     their permission is imperitive because you would be TOLD to dismantle it if they dont like it
