Stef,
The boundary as registered in the land registry by the developer is shown in red below. It hasn't been drawn with much thought or care. We both "trespass" on the other's territory simply by walking up the path!

Hello Neighbours,
Just a question.
Does anybody know how to get approval for our car when it's 4 years old?
Do we get a paper from the government or do we have to go simply to the garage for approval?
We don't receive any mail so no idea how to handle...
Thanks for your help in advance,
Kind regards,
Chris and Corrie

I have asked the same question at the Town Hall. It is the owner's responsibility to arrange for the ITV (Inspección Técnica de Vehículos) to be done (no mention of a reminder being sent) and the nearest test station to Don Juan is in Guadalhorce.
You can either turn up and wait for your car to be tested or you can book an appointment online.

Hello Jenx,
In that case do you know how old your car needs the ITV?
Because on the internet they are talking about 4 years or 5 years, I don't understand the difference...
Otherwise I will email our insurance, I guess they will know more about it..
Thanks very much,
Chris and Corrie

My reply yesterday did not make an appearance!
The ITV needs to be done by the 4th anniversary of the first registration of the car. After the first ITV it becomes every two years for the test; after ten years old, the car has to be tested every year.
Hope this is helpful.
