Hi ,
First I would like to state personally, I do not see a anything wrong, with communication
by Registered letter to neighbours if this is the only way to ensure contact and involvement,
what is the problem.
Although we have some very good constructive contributions there seems to be more
destructive ones undermining the whole aspects of the community, and property value.
If you were a prospective buyer, seller or renter by doing a little research, would you
not have second thoughts, believing you had come across the British TV Programme,
"Neighbours from Hell", although in reality there are very good neighbours : plus a
wonderful urbanisation, okay, we may have our differences, on some matters. but it
is how you deal with them.
We were led into the some of the present positions from past decisions by the original
committee, on major issues, seemingly a lack of negotiation skills, driving the other
party to permanently break off negotiations, had different personalities been at the helm,
maybe we would have moved forward by now. Our reserve fund disappeared from the
budget during this time, although payment for the legal fees/ technical report were paid
very quickly . (On the position of the "what if" technical report, having questioned some
issues and the attached financial report figures, I was asked to publish it on this forum
which I did but it was never answered.)
The issues on the agenda for debate, are they life threatening, was there a real need
for a meeting now, could the EGM not have been held at a later date, instead of
incurring 2 meetings adding to costs, and these issues placed on the agenda, did
the parties involved in the action really consider the issues ?
Mailboxes - Capital outlay - Postal service - what guarantees are there of the service,
when you can read of installations (requested by Correos) still no delivery after 2 years.
Also brings into question the point of security, leaving information on occupancy,
if there is an overflowing letter box.
Security - Had we had an agreement with the developer, and negotiated, sharing the
costs of a security guard (Tico) I could understand having security, in the fact he
challenged your presence in being there or knew you. Taken into numerous occasions
I stayed last year the only time recalling seeing our security guard, was sitting in a car,
or when using the toilet facilities at the swimming pool 3.15 in the morning. Just after
which there was a disturbance, this could have been heard around the complex, when
two men decided to take a swim entering over the fencing, no sign of security .
Although I believe in improving the security, not spending funds on unproductive
measures, we should concentrate the funding on the low walls at ground level and
gates. Maybe we could also look at the Costa Brave Area where Neighbourhood
Watch Schemes are widespread and effective.
Contracts - What happened when the previous contract for Gardens/ maintenance
was terminated, are all contracts of a standard pattern.
Gardens - In the past we had "good news and real progress" plants and trees for
2000 Euros, what was provided?
