All,

I have uploaded a whole host of pictures today regarding the development of SADM and the properties. In addition, I've also added a load of pics of surrounding areas and places of interest.

It's Santa Pola just south of Alicante and approx 1hr 15mins from Jumilla. I have to say I think it is fantastic and not over developed. Right on the marina is a restaurant called Miramar and comes highly recommended.

From here, you can also take a 35min glass bottom boat ride (large boat) across the channel to a small island off the coast of alicante (can't remember the name)...well worth it !! We're looking at buying a second property in Santa Pola now, we like it that much.

Nice photos Darren.  The island is Tabarca.  Santa Pola is very Spanish in as much as that is where a lot of the locals here go for a day out in the summer.  Buying a property there?  It sits very near to the salt flats which can be a bit smelly at the height of summer so choose a property carefully.  Jesus I sound like a maiden aunt.  Callaspara is much nicer if not so near the sea but for rental purposes I suppose the coast is a good bet.

what is the best route to get there do we need to go back towards alicante airport ??

No probs....if you head out of Jumilla and through Pinoso, take route towards Monover and then motorway to Alicante following signposts for the airport. When you reach the airport turn off, ignore and carry on through to Santa Pola, only 10-15mins away. We'll start to use it more as a base when we fly over. If you ever need a hotel we have numbers and costs per night, right on the harbour front.

Any chance you could send me details for the hotel in Santa Pola?  I've been looking for somewhere on the coast close to the airport but not in Alicante itself. This looks ideal.
