Prettying up the apartment

Hi,

My apartment is furnished but not it's time to pretty it up.  Other than IKEA can anyone recommend shops where I can buy soft furnishings and candles, paintings, etc.  I have a car so I'm willing to travel.

I bought my nic naks at home from Next and just brought them over a few at a time.  Paintings are a very persoanl thing but you could try Puerto Mazzaron Sunday Market, there is a stall there that has a resonable variety but are mass produced( I think.)  There is also a shop called Cactus which is on the road to the market but i don't think it is open on a Sunday.

We have had our apartment for a year now and we are still adding to it continuously.

We bought some bits in the Nueva Condomina mall near Ikea. They have plenty of nik nak shops, and also an art shop which sells one offs. Worth a visit.

When does the Mazzaron market "open" on a Sunday? Also are there any other open markets in and around the CDA area?

Gines Navarro on the way into Mazarron and also the Garden Centre next door to it  have lots of bits and pieces including candles and curtains (garden centre especially) Both have outdoor furniture and kitchen equipment too.

A couple of good shops with some classy stuff, quite close to home in Alhama.  Funiture, Paintings, Lamps, Candles, Mirrors, Vases & fruit bowls & all that sort of female nonesense !!     Just turn right when you enter Alhama from the road from Condado.  You will see them 200 yards on the RHS.  Go to the next r/bout & come back on yourself.  You can park right outside & only 10 mins from Condado.

More nik naks for the ladies = more cleaning for the ladies

And an increased risk of placing one's beer on top of said nik nak and getting a good ear bashing

But i really do need to put some pictures up to clash with the walls, sounds like a job for October once the damp is sorted out and the fridge has been stocked up
