In response I do not only work on this site, this week alone I have checks on 3 other developments and still support people where we checked their propertues 3-4 years ago so I am still very much involved with previous customers and they are haooy to be avaiable as references including people on the Polaris sites, RODA, UGR, Algorfa, Villamartin and mnany more

The c¡vast majority of  people have warmed to me, there are very few people that have problems with my comments, strangely enough all people that are wanting to cancel contracts, how odd

I would ask any customers who have had properties checked, including the gentleman today when we found a blown galzing unit and problems with drianage, to state if they beleve that I am on the side of the developer

As I have laready stated, and I think that the majority of people would agree, that it there are quality issues perhaps they should publish them on these forum using their expertise, I have more than 1500 well documented defects including breakdown by type

As far as the non meeting in the coffee shop I seem to remember that this wasn´t a meeting, it didn´t last 40 minutes and my meeting was actually with a business assoiate and a social chat and catch up, noyt a snagging metting,  but of course if it wasn´t a meeting, if nothing sensitive was discussed in a public place then why is anybody getting so upset

I think everybody wants their contracts to be honoured.

If you want to pick holes, please read the posting correctly.  I posted that "I regularly speak to RH, Ron, and Roy Howitt and can vouch that they are definately not the same person".  If you have any understanding of the English Language you will realise that commas break up a sentence.  Therefore, by stating that "I regularly speak to RH, Ron," with the commas insitu means that I regularly speak to RH, (aka) Ron, AND Roy Howitt".  Please...................  My only mistake was to say "speak" and did not say "I was in  regular contact with".   OMG, what have I said now!!  Back to Furniture Packs.

Very very sorry about the english language bit. However, if you only contact them, how can you really really be sure they are not 1, 2 or 3 people?

However

Roy has promoted his shopping service for furniture nearly 1000 times, he runs it, and he doesnt have a property on Corvera.   So what is the difference.

Perhaps his contributions should be edited everytime for advertising.............

Simple answer the post, which was deleted by the moderators of the forum, nothing to do with me, was deemed to be commercial 

The post ,now deleted  by the moderator, was worded as a third party saying that this company provided a good service saying their services, when it ws actually the company posting which I have never done in 5 years on the forum, over 900 LIVE posts

If you believe that a post, including mine, is commercial or spam or abusive, you click the link down the bottom and report it to the moderator who, if they agree will delete it so if you believe that this s the case on my posts please do this because my own post do not recommend my own company, they don´t have to, because satisfied customers do that for me.

By the way I also went on to say that from people on Condado I have heard good things about this company, I didn´t have to do that, but some people seem to be very selective in the contents of their responses when they try to have a go at me

Loverrocket by the way you are wrong with your prices, I charge more than that for the service, but if you have requested information you now know I send this out without obligation to use the service and people seem to find the guides invaluable

Getting back to furniture without any sniping, I have just had some dealings with DFS in San Javier and was impressed with the quality of their furniture and prices.

DFS have a good selection of furniture on display and the prices don't break the bank! They were the last company we visited from all the companies previously mentioned on this forum and in our opinion they ticked all the boxes. I think their web site is also the most impressive. I will report back again once the furniture has been delivered.

Can I also say that I too have been very pleased with Roy's services and have no problem with his posts which on the whole I find very informative. Without Roy's posts we would all be much less informed about Corvera and spanish property purchasing in general.

Fact of the Resorts you mention for people to give you a glowing report , When was the last time you posted on them ? Not for a long time if ever, I dont count UGR on the 20th August as that was about Furniture and a well known corrupt Firm and you only posted because you have a connection with a Furniture firm as you Advertise when ever you post , SO the fact is you do move on naturally when the snagging is finished

Re Completing , Russ W sums it up , Everybody want"s  their Contract Honoured

I presume You and the Gentleman you snagged for yesterday have two good  Eyes, it would be impossible not to spot the Things you spotted if you wernt an above average Snagger , You must be above average because you kindly told us you have over 1500 reports on your Fine work . Please Roy you and I no what side you are on, we dont want to go through that again

The last thing is perhaps the most important ,I think shows you for what you are arrogant, I dont no how you get your head though the door of a morning,  I told you about the two Ladys a pensioner and a younger one who cried about your written comments on an earlier thread, Your reply should have been " I am sorry if I upset somebody but that was never my intention " and then perhaps give your reasons why not   " Why is anybody getting upset " You were told they got upset, but by your latest answer you dont care What if that had been your Wife?

This is supposed to be a thread on funiture - why is it turning into an attack on Roy??? As far as I know he has never made any secret that this is his living and so people using his services go into it with their eyes open. I agree with him that the start of this thread was a company deliberatly trying to deceive under the alias of a false reference - what is the isssue with Roy pointing this out?

Do us a favour - if you need gain your 'cheap shot' wins in this manner then start a thread 'have a go at Roy' - then you can get your pleasures on this thread without the need for us genuinly interested in the progress of this development having to read it

I think  like many other forums and ceratinly when I was working RODA there is a big split between the pro and against resort and this will nvever get resolved until the legal issues are resolved one way or another

It is also interesting how people love to spin things to their own benefit for example I actually said that I have over 1500 documented defects not client references, in fact on Corvera an average ob 25.7 per property

There has never been a thread deleted form this forum where as you claim somebody has told and yes in the past there were a couple of people not happy with the service, 2 out of more than 3000 customers, not a bad ratio

There are a lot of inspection and completions on Corvera over the next 2 weeks, probably arond 80, and as I meet clients going off to check properties with no equipment,. no spirit levels or torches so Jored to answer your query no, by the admission of the owner, he would not have found the problems with the fall or lifted and checked the drains under the covers, as with a similar problem today

As far as the charges and Value are concerned the average number of visits required is 5.8 per property including the utility and furniture fit checks so any snagging company, providing an unlimted visit servuces is great value for money comparedfor to the cost of 5 lots of flights, hotesl and car hire

If you want to do ypour own snagging fine I do help people do this, I provide a guide and a sample report, based on a property the same as the one that they are buying, which if used will give a great indication on what to look for.

To state again there is consumer law in Spain that means if somebody personal circumstances have change and they are unable to obtain a mortgage, form 3 providers, they can legally cancel their contract and get all of their money back

Am I arrogant, yes probably come across like that because, to be honest, I don´t know how to answer you guys anymore and if you sumarise the accusations they have varied from being in the pocket of the developer, to not being professional, to ripping people off, to advertisng, mot providing all f the information etc, most comments comming from the group that do not want to complete plus a couple of people with reputations for winding people up

Again if you believe that I am now, or in past threads been abusive or commercial you can use the report link abd let somebody independant decide and agian you for te opportunity to again explain what I do

You would go a long way to reducing the anger if you took your website addresses off the end of all your posts, as whatever you descibe it as, it is advertising and it is supposably not allowed on this forum.

If all your business comes from your clients comments as you suggest, this wont harm your business.

If Turnbull were to sponsor eyeonspain as an advertiser (that's sponsor as in PAY MONEY TO) as Roy Howitt of Inspectahome does, perhaps the forum moderators would not have removed their advertising link ?

Still waiting to see someone that has completed or intends to complete have a go at Roy instead of praising him and his services though. As he's already supplied me with a file-load of relevant information (for free) it definately won't be me. Yes, in 18months or so I will pay him for his snagging services and I am certain it will be money well spent.

Why is it the ones who live on covera like and agree with ROY but the ones who are trying to get out of completeing try to blacken his name any answers please . If England lose to the All Blacks on  Sat can we blame Roy

I agree with JORED that snagging is not rocket science and I have done it (on my own properties) a number of times down in Spain. Most snagging items are very obvious without a spirit level and a torch and even with these items builders are unlikely to knock down the apartment block/dig up the terrace and start again if the walls are not straight or the patio is not level.  

I can spend the going rate for snagging of between 150 euro for some companies and 350 euro for others on something useful for the property. The follow up can be done by email and sometimes the snagging actually is done on time although not my experience at the moment on Corvera although I am hoping that it will all be sorted when I get there in the next fortnight. I wouldn't bet that the snagging companies have any more luck than the rest of us in getting snagging problems dealt with and finished but it maybe appears so to the client who doesn't have to do the follow up themselves.  

On the plus side and still nothing to do with furniture the Corvera golf course looks great and the weather was brilliant when I visited Corvera when I was down in Roda last week.

Don
