The golf course

best hope its not under the flight path then !!!   but hey aircraft noise is good its bringing more renters !!

Just to say a very happy new year to our very own 'Waldorf and Stadler'.

I do find it quite hard to understand really why golfers would choose Covera with nothing, above Hacienda del Alamo which is only 16 KM away with 6 star facilities including a Hotel and fantastic Golf Course

Try looking at the Hacienda del Alamo forum, they have just as many problems. The place was dead when I visited last summer, bar was closed, shops empty etc. and it's had a couple of years extra to achieve its present status.

The major point is surely that when you go away to play golf you don´t only play one course but the aim is to play  number of courses in the area and therefore from the base at Corvera place Hacienda De Alamo, El Valle, and the other local courses

When promoting a rental property it is therefore important to  promote all of the local courses even get some special rates from discount green fee suppliers which is what I do for my property in Villa Martin 

The publically available documents show the flight path which does not overfly the Corvera course but do go over El Valle

The hotel is finished at Hacienda del Alamo but I understand that they are struggling to get somebody to buy it, lots of rumours about buyers but it is a very good golf course

For all of you bods out there, I saw the plans of the flight path a long time ago and in fact the planes will be flying over..............wait for it.........Hacienda Del Alamo.........so much for paying for a 6* resort...............once those Jumbo's go over that Resort there will be no sand left in the bunkers !!!

i saw some plans back in 2005 , it was of a beautiful 5 star " live the dream" Golf and country club in the middle of the Spanish countryside. There was an equestrian centre, a 5* DeVere Hotel, a health centre, a commercial centre, there were bars , restaurants. The development was going to be so good that European PGA was going to form a base there... it was going to cost a lot , but it would be sooo worth it.......

But the apologists are still here, i quite like the fact that you can now settle with being given a crap resort because,dont worry you can play other golf courses nearby that have got proper facilities... i dont remember seeing that in the sales literature ??

Nan , you say its a Country Club what does that entail then ?

Salesperson, This will be unique the 1st of its kind in Murcia and beyond. it will have this special rustic feel the wide open spaces .You mention your grandchildren like horse riding, they like the idea of mountain bikes 4X4 etc, You husband likes walking well we will have all of these and more , the nature trails for your Son and daughter -in-law. we will have all of these

We are not another Golf Resort we are much better then that. Let me tell you, we will also have a huge Sports centre it will have an indoor Oylimpic size swimming pool all soughts of ball courts Paddle Tennis , Normal tennis , 5 a side football any thing you can imagine we will have a court to provide it !! 

This is the clincher , the salesperson looks directly at one of the kids ( in a football tee-shirt) and says, when this is up and running we will rival La Manga Club we will have all the football teams from Europe Barca Real Madrid , England Germany etc coming to stay for winter work outs, you will be able to see them train get autographs have photos taken

Kids  "come on Dad sign, while we are all at football  Mum and Gran could be at the Spa or Commercial centre we can all meet up later "

Ok where do we sign and what are the terms !!!!

Personally I think we should all get compensation.  I cannot believe that anyone still has there heads in the sand.  What's wrong with you all?????  Why isn't everyone standing up and shouting about it???

Update of the Golf course after our visit last week:

Managed a couple of rounds on the course and was most impressed with the quality of the course considering it has only been open since December/January.  I walked part of the course in March when we completed, but since then it has improved a lot - the bunkers, tees and fairways are in great condition, but the greens are superb (although mostly flat!) - only the 18th white tee was suffering a little.  The water features in the middle of the course are a really nice feature, especially after we had some major rainfall. The course/driving range is free at the moment, but not sure for how long.  Clubhouse - well wait and see what happens there.

Fantastic post there Steve. Having played the course a few times now this does provide a great 'virtual round' as you say but if it was my round I think there would be a few more pictures showing my 5th...6th..7th shots on each hole.

It'll be good to show my mates before they come over to play.
