Murcia Promoted in Spanish Soccer League
Murcia won promotion on Saturday, ending a three-year absence from the first division of the Spanish league.
Murcia tied 1-1 at La Ponferradina to guarantee the club will spend its centennial year in the top division.
The southeastern team followed Valladolid, which gained promotion three weeks ago. Murcia and Valladolid are expected to be joined on Sunday by Almeria.
Looking forward to seeing Real Murcia in La Liga.

That's great. I was hoping they'd get promoted. It'll be great supporting a local team!

Hi All thought this might interest some of you.
On Monday 14th May the new Warner Brother attraction Terra Natura opened its doors to the public in Murcia. With a surface area of 130,000m2 and running to its full capacity it will be home to more than 400 animals and species. It´s emphasis is on the habitats of Africa and the Iberian Peninsular and will be home to lions, zebras, giraffes, hippos and elephants, bears, wolves etc and visitors will have the sense that they are actually in the animal´s habitat as any visual barriers and buildings have been removed. Following on from the other successful theme park in Alicante the new park expects to attract more than 250,000 visitors a year.
In mid-June a water amusement park is also due to be opened as well which will be 40,000m2 and will cater for both adults and children.
Sounds good yeh?
Iain
