hi my name is richard and my wifes name is morag. we got our keys on april 3rd for our quarter villa  and spent a frantic 4 days getting it furnished.  we managed it and  there was then a snagging list to complt. 2 full pages ranging from a chip in the bath to  the  builders forgetting to put in a light switch in the fully fitted kitchen . they had to rip of the wall tiles to find the wiring and fit the switch. the biggest job was to move the livingroom light as they had the wires  coming through the concrete ceiling 3ft out of line. when we were due to leave i brought helder down to show him the list and the livingroom light wires and told him to make sure that the furniture was protected when all the work was taking place. the workmen went into the house to move the light,didnt cover any furniture and started to cut the concrete ceiling with a sthil saw . the mess was totally unbelievable as i had my key holder and another person contact me in a state of panic. it cost me 70 euros to get it all cleaned and they damaged our new diningroom table . when i spoke to helder about this he said he would look into it  but i cant see taray replacing the table to quickly.then to my shock when i opened the kitchen door out into the utility area i found some lowlife had walked up the wall had stole my new mountain bike{ the gate was locked and chained /padlocked}. not good. my point is when you are getting any snagging done BEWARE as the workmen dont look after your property.does any body have any contacts to get grills made up for the bathroom window and also above the utility area? thanks richard/morag murray

Any news on the moutain bike? Not a good to start to living the dream. I was wondering when i might hear a story like that as the general forum is full of them. but everyone says afterwards Spain was worth the hassle. Part of me really wishes we bought a re-sale which was our original intentions before going out!!

hi tina and everyone who replied, yes we have now settled in and got the villa as we want it . we were over 2 weeks ago for a long weekend and the weather was perfect. we are over in august  for a week and i cant wait.

tom sorry i could not get passed the fence the  sales team was working on sunday

but from what i could see all looked well.

i was happy to see my house half way up and the electric pylon has finally been put under ground.

we are back out there for 3 weeks in august  so if anyone wants to meet that would be nice.

Hi, everyone

Thanks for uploading more photos of the site.  Living in Sheffield and working out near the M1 (currently closed) near the reservoir that is threatening to burst its banks I'm in need of a bit of cheering up!  Fortunately, I live on high ground so the house hasn't suffered any flooding.  My poor little car has been through some deep water though and Joe wasn't able to get home last night because of the floods.

hi all,have just added some more photos of the surrounding areas of San Cayetano,cheers me up to look at the pics and reminds me of the sun.pics should be of the site really but there again ,its all part of our spanish experiance,eh.mind you,did see a slight glimmer in the sky today,thinnk it may have been the sun,lol.enjoy.
