My sister & I were out there last week to do the power of attorney & pick the furniture. They are saying we will complete in about 2 weeks - I can't see it.
I am nervous about the second bedroom, we have bought 2 single beds & from what I have read they won't fit. The lady at Arca said they were smaller than the standard size & will fit but .......I'm a bit worried now especially when my sister wanted bunk beds & I talked her out of it!!!.
We went in the Liffey Bar & found the people very friendly but didn't get chance to go in the bar next door. There looked like there was plenty of people in so must be okay.
One very big disappointment was that we found out our shared pool is on the roof of block 4 when were told by our agent it was to the side of block 1. I don't suppose it matters, the views will be lovely it's just that when I am told wrong information I wonder what else I have been told is wrong. How do you get to it as the front doors to each block appear to have locks on them.
Does anyone know when the full site will be finshed?
Sandra

Hi Sandra
We have uploaded a photo of our second bedroom to show you that our single beds fit in OK. Maybe the size of the rooms vary, but according to our plan it is 7.9m2

Hi guys,
Nick & Linda, thanks for the pics. The development seems to be coming alone nicely now. How does Block 5 look? I'm due to go over in 3 weeks to complete. Patricia from Placious is telling my that my apartment will be ready but I have my doubts.
I checked my plans and the size of my second bedroom is 7.9m2 also. Did you guys get the 'free' furniture pack? If so then there should be no worries fitting those single beds in.
Sandra, the builders have made quite a few changes from the original development plans. A dissapointment to me was that initally Block 5 was to be the right-most block in that line. But they managed to throw up another one beside it. I not really a pool person myself but over 100 apartments sharing one roof top pool is indeed a squeeze. The roof tops of the 5 blocks are connected so it will just be the case of making your way to your respective roof top and walking to Block 4.

Hi Mike
We would be surprised if block 5 is ready in 3 weeks, unless certain apartments are ready, because there is still a lot of work to do to a few of the front apartments. The back ones look ready from the outside, but we have not been in block 5, so we do not know how far on they are internally.
We asked at Palacios when the builders electric was being switched to Iberdrola and they said it would be when all 5 blocks are finished in two to three months!
Our beds are standard Arca beds.
You cannot get onto blocks 3,4 & 5 across the roof from blocks 1 + 2 because these two blocks are one storey higher and therefore there is an apartment wall separating them from block 3 rooftop.See photo No 41893 taken in December which shows the high wall of penthouse apartments of block 2 ( on right hand side of photo) which prevents access to blocks 3,4 & 5.
Regards Nick and Linda

Hi Sandra / Nick&Linda/ Mike
It seems like the only way to find out the truth about anything, completion dates pools etc , is to get Palacios to put it in writing to you, a lot of this will only get sorted when all five blocks are finished and a community is formed .

Hi Alan
The only reason there are no builders vehicles around was because it was Sunday when we took the photos and there was none of them at work. They have cleaned up the area though, so that they can lay the paving slabs. The first few days when we arrived it still looked like a bomb site.

Hi guys,
Nick & Linda Cheers for the update on block 5 and for clearing up the roof access issue. For some reason I thought i had read somewhere that they were all the same height. My apartment is at the rear and to be quite honest I dont care much at what state of the remainer of the building is once the apartment is habitable. Alan you are quite right about most issues only being solved once the community is formed. The first few meetings will be interesting to say the least. 2 to 3 months of free electricty I can live with.

I have now moved into my apartment in block 2.
We arrived late Saturday night to no electric (even though i spoke to Palacious on friday and they told me it was working) An electrician came out Monday morning and spent 2 hours re-wiring but by lunch time we had electricity. The corridoor lights are all off so it was no laughing matter walking up 100+ stairs in the dark with heavy suitcases!
There was a few things that needed doing to the apartment but most of it was done while i was there. I have changed my locks and had a handle fitted as it is very easy to lock yourself out and i had to get an electrician to fit lights outside and in my hallway.
