Hi to all of you. Im new to this site, got here cos a friend recommended it me. To be fair, I wish he did so before.
My husband and I also bought a property in Almanzora, and to be honest, we had very much the same problems as everybody else is having. We went to a solicitor wich was most unhelpful. and finally we changed to another solicitors and got our money back plus the interests as well.

Well done on getting your money back...Plus Intrest.... wow!
We have lost total confidence with our current solicitor and seems very reluctant to challenge Huma in court.
Unfortunately we were never issued a bank guarantee and we are now quite concerned that we may never see our money. What was your situation regarding bank guarantees when you took Huma to court? Would you mind if I asked for your solicitors details he sounds good.
Regards

Hi:
Well, just so you know, my husband and started the process on dic. 2006 and by the time we got all the papers to court it was already march 2007. This is standard procedure in Spain (everything takes so long!), but it is worth it, and it could be a month up or down, but that should be the average. As per the fees, I think is down to the lawyer to tell you that, as they know by the value of your property.
Hope this help!
