Things moving ???

There is no building in October.( If there was building commencing in the next 21 days it would have been announced).

Will building commence this year ? There is November and December left.

Wave of positive feedback???

All the discussion seems to be about getting money back and the period of time involved......

HUMA need to do monthly briefing e-mails to all buyers even if it is to say "still waiting".

A flow chart of the procedure would have helped so people could see stage by stage the end of the process drawing in

A dedicated web site with monthly updates...

Instead nothing which has only led to false rumours, inaccurate postings and speculation.

When reading the postings on this site you can see that the Blitz spirit is showing through...People were saying October in 2006 and reminding us what a good investment it is.

All credit to you for that...Its a same HUMA dont adopt the same spirit and attitude

They have provided no feedback since Oct 2005 when building stopped.

HUMA do not deserve your money guys.....

Huma do have a dedicated website for ACC   www.almanzoracountryclub.net  They update it as and when there is something to update.

Hi all

This feel's like the quiet before the storm, Andylynn do agree with your last post, huma have let it's client's down with the lack of information,

for those pulling out,i do understand, but should you take 2005 money back when huma will sell at 2008/09 price's and you have had all the heartache

i know it's a hard one to call,we have 50,000+euros sitting in huma,s bank account.

whichever way you decide to go,i wish you good luck and good fortune

best regard's

cuffie

I suspect that there's alot of people happy to get their money back, albeit at 2004/5 prices, than risk ending up with nothing at all.

Huma can only sell at 2008/9 prices when everything is sorted, and there's alot of mixed information about that

Cuffie,

The prices in this area for Apartments has dropped.

We have looked at Apartments with similar or larger m2 with the same facilities ( Well not an Equastrian Centre I admit but I think we can live without that), and they are now 65-70 K Stirling. There is a number of them too which puts us in a strong negotiating position.....

This old chestnut about "2005 prices", "We are sitting on a healthy profit", for Apartment buyers is NOT the case.

Prices have dropped and we have 30K sat in HUMAS account doing nothing for us.

2008 prices will be less....

With a bit of luck it will not be long before all our queries are answered!!

And if you are buying for a 'Lifel Style' reason then does it really matter what the value is when you move in . I have a positive attitude but that does not mean that from day one I am right!!....same applies to those with negative vibes

But history of property economics tells us ,that in a few years we will all have had a lot of enjoyment out of ACC [ the most important aspect] and  we all made a good buy , which is a bonus

Same as in UK now, flat market but now is as good a time as any to buy....in the medium to long term prices will just rise

The facts are that in EU[ and elsewhere] ,the majority want to first buy their main home , then when and if they can afford it a holiday home and Spain just happens to have the best climate and best choice

EU economic fundamentals are OK

as an afterthought, this part of Almeria is nice!!!

Agree absolutely that in the LONG TERM, property is likely to be good in terms of an investment.  However, I think those wanting a life style change have to realise that this is not going to be a luxury complex for quite a few years to come - after building starts.  It might get there eventually - it might not, I have heard that the very cheap properties at Camposol are virtually falling down., But clearly at MCC they are still a long way away.  So the life style changers still have a lot to consider, just like the investment only people.

There is no doubt that prices have fallen, and anyone who thinks otherwise is fooling themselves.

Can i ride on this positive wave as well ?, my investment in the devlopment has only come about as a result of an earlier investment in the u.k property market , yes at the moment we are seeing similar conditions in the property market in spain as in the u.k  and yes the prices may go down as well as up !

If you stay on the ride long enough the prices wiil go up, history has proved this , and whilst i am not a gambling man i bet the odds on betting against this would be hard to find!!

If you are happy to sit  it out and can afford too with both time and money, then you are in the best position, if not then you need to consider your options. But i do feel things are heading towards a conclusion for all parties involved and i look forward to my eventual investment also giving me a life style change ( eventually ) !!

regards,,  gary

Halegate, I don't mean to be overly negative but you don't have an 'investment' in ACC. You have given HUMA your money for a property that has no license & is not built, & can't be built 'yet'. If you had an investment you could sell it now because it would have some value, your contract has no value because until (if) the licenses are issued it is an illegal build.

History does show property as a good investment but that LEGAL builds. Assuming ACC does get the go-ahead, What are the facilities going to be? Will it be what was promised at the beginning? Will you be able to sell at a profit when built, taking into account all the costs of selling (including your lost interest on the money you have paid HUMA)? Only then can you say you have an 'investment'.

What you have now is a bet on a horse where you don't even know if the race is going to be run or if the horse is going to be entered.

Lets see what happens between now and Xmas

Everyone now is just waiting

All the positives have been said &  all the negatives

Time and again

And we are now at the ' last few hundred yards of the race'!!!

If you want out you can get out....so 'negatives' why not do that and get on with your life....and good luck...get your 'Life Style change' now......not going to affect the 'positives'

Some positives find that the time scale has moved on and want a home in Spain now....if that is you then do it.....life is for living

The rest of us I suppose will wait.....for the time being anyway

No use now making comments about the history of ACC....that is fact [ provided you know what really happened]....it is ,as it is ,right now

Move on if it is right for you, stay a bit longer if that is right for you

Stating that any 'investment' in ACC now is worth nothing (at the moment) is not being negative, It is stating the obvious!

Closing one's eyes to the situation where there is no license & when the meeting to approve (or not) hasn't taken place yet is not being positive, it is being blind.

For the record, I hope ACC is built. It may not be, I know no more than any-one else.

As for the comment that we are in the last few hundred yards of the race, we have'nt even got to the start of the race yet. Should the license be approved, what will be built at ACC? What facilities? What was promised?

Perhaps we should spend more time harrassing HUMA about up to date info than trying to score debating points with each other.

Everyone has their own reasons for staying in or pulling out, some have no choice but to pull out.

ACC is becoming as mythical as Corvera airport.

Hey, never mind October - it was something definitely happening in September as far as I can remember!!!  Then there was some slippage to October - between now and Christmas here and now, February 08 mentioned on the Development Watch site!!!   But what the hek - this is ACC - anything could happen.  Didn't someone somewhere say within two weeks?  Has two weeks passed yet???

The new airport at  Corvera via the new toll motorway is about the same distance from ACC as San Javier [ Murcia] circa 45 mins

ACC is about 5 mins from the new toll road
