Can I just congratulate you last few contributors....Hicky...Val 123..... on writing EXCELLENT articles.

Its about time that others realised just what the situation is and that there is a VERY REAL PROSPECT THAT ACC WILL NOT BE BUILT...........HUMA ARE NOT THE GOOD GUYS ORIGINALLY EVERYONE THOUGHT THEY WERE.......AND THEY ARE NOT PAYING BACK REFUNDS IN RESPECT OF BREACH OF CONTRACT AS THEY HAVE TO.

I feel like shouting from the roof tops now that the light is dawning on more and more people and that the "We are sitting on a nice healthy profit as we bought in 2005 and will be sitting in the sun soon" brigade are realising that we have serious problems here...."if you dont have anything positive dont write here" (as we are burying our heads in the sand).....

ACC is in total disrepair....Snagging list ?  ....  Total re-build list....MCC Owners are taking HUMA to court.....More ACC Owners are taking HUMA to court....More people ( Solicitors and independent agents) are saying ACC wont be built.... It reality check time.....I wonder what the Germans who bought at ACC are doing ? Sitting back or taking action ? My experience , having several German associates, is that they would have got their deposits back after creating absolute hell for HUMA !!!!

Many thanks for the MEP link....Will send details to my MEP.

if you have pulled out , good luck to you but some of us are going to wait a little longer .

as your not buying anymore on acc your comments do not interest us , so find another forum where you are buying and write your negative comments there .

Tboneted,

I don't know how long you have waited for your property so far, or indeed, how much money you've handed over to Huma (some people have only got 3000 euros invested, some nothing at all, having merely reserved a plot)

If you haven't invested anything more than 3000 euros, I can just about understand your laid back attitude where Huma is concerned - although if Huma's  behaviour does not worry or anger  you, I would say that you are being a little naive.

Perhaps you are quite wealthy, and can afford to lose money - most of us cannot afford to do so.

None of the posts here warrant your aggressive reply.  People who have decided to pull out need to communicate with eachother and share knowledge - if we are denting your optimism, then  I suggest you don't come onto these forums, as you will encounter negative posts from many of the forum members.

Much better for you to sit back and wait for your property to be built, which I hope for your sake will indeed happen within the next 5 - 10  years or so.

In the meantime, if you come onto these boards, please don't take offence at the remarks about Huma (unless of course, you work for Huma or one of its related companies)  In which case, feel free to take offence!

To all those who are in process of pulling out please carry on with comments on this site.  This forum is for both positive and negatvie comments, like it or not.  I have been waiting 3 months for Huma/Aldea to send me cancellation contract.  Yesterday I spoke to Katy at Aldea who are now advising me to go to litigation.

She is sending a document called Power of Attorney for litigation to my local notary in England.  I hav eto sign this and it is then sent to Spanish consulate in London for them to stamp and send back to me which I post to Aldea and they do the rest.  The public notary and spanish consulate charges will be £110 and then of course there will be Aldeas charges, but now I will be claiming interest for the 3and half years they have had my money.  As things progress I will keep putting posts on this site.

i paid £50,000 nearly 3 years ago

the comment was aimed at people who have got their money back and have no interest anymore in acc

if you have not i understand swapping info but for them with no interest anymore , stop being bitter and be negative somewhere else because all the negative post don't get us any nearer , all you do is make people confused as what to do.

im trying to be posative till the new year then i'll start demanding answers then if there is nothing new.

Can't see your problem.

If you are happy with HUMA and all things ACC then why do negative comments upset you?

Some people are suffering financially and with their health thanks to HUMA.

People need some information about what help is available to them. HUMA don't return calls or answer e-mails. Our Parador recommended solicitor has done bugger all for 8 months. We are currently in the process of speaking with someone else and I was hoping to be able to pass on some positive info for people wanting to pull out, before we went to Spain tomorrow.

There is a mixed bag of information available on any subject, you take it all in and make your own decision. I cannot make my own decision on information from HUMA or Parador, there isn't any. I can make a decision based on information found on forums.

If it wasn't for the forum I wouldn't have found out that there was a problem.

Whilst pulling out, I have never previously said that I thought that ACC wouldn't be built. Though my views on this are currently changing, again based on information read here and from our new solicitor. But I can't say yay  or nay on this just yet.

I personally would welcome any info from people who have already got their money back, to find out how they did it

Mike

Our current position is that we advised our Spanish Solicitor in August that we wanted to withdraw.

HUMA sent us a cancellation contract in September.

We have signed this and it has been returned to HUMA.

That was about a month ago, give or take a few days.According to our solicitor we exchange this with HUMA and then receive our deposit back in two cheques, about 21 days apart if my memory serves me correctly. This is where we are at present.

I have put posts on as to the process involved, this was as my solicitor explained it.

She has been successful in the recent past in securing deposits back for clients.

I have given other buyers her details who have had no response using their own solicitor, which I hope will bring a satisfactory conclusion to their nightmare.

I will continue to update this forum on the progress or indeed non-progress in getting our money back. This is so other people can hopefully learn and benefit from our experience.

I will therefore continue to post comments on this site and assist other Brits where  and when ever posssible.

As a member I am entitled to do this until EOS cancel my membership.

As people have sent me private messages asking for details of my solicitor and questions on what pulling out entails, I refute, and indeed rubbish, your suggestion that my comments do not interest others.

I am on this forum to note information from reliable sources and to help.I will also post information as to  my viewpoint.

If either is offensive I will apologise as there is no call for rudeness.I will not set out to offend or insult anyone but I will post as forementioned.

The point is that there are people who have pulled out who have obviously been able to do something more than we have.

There's rough & smooth with everything. You have to make your own judgement on the information available and at the minute that information is only really coming from forums.

I understand where you are coming from but if the people who have got their money back just P*** off, how would that help someone else in a difficult position, like ourselves. I have info from another forum, which if successful I will pass on. When I get the information I may post it as some sort of negatively titled thread, then you can choose not to read it, but I would guess that there are more people out there who would want to see the info than not.

If there's a hail of negativity towards these comments then I'll not post

Mike

Do any of you, that have info. from other sources, know how Andersons got on with their meeting with Huma yesterday?

Apparently, they are representing 30+ clients.  It must have been a very long meeting - imagine trying to do 30+ different deals with someone who is very reluctant to deal.

They are charging 3900€ per client, and are asking for a 50% deposit.

For all you who want your money back, who do not want to wait, and are getting no joy from your present solicitors, I suggest you contact:

Me, I'm sticking with ACC

It was the news that I was hoping to have.

Not very well is the answer,  we've just had an e-mail from them.

In a nutcase, HUMA have coughed up for all previous cases out of court but are now saying that they are prepared to drag it out through the courts as there  are now so many people trying to get their money back..

I would now question HUMA's financial standing and whether HUMA  will ever get approval for the site.

If HUMA are so confident that everything will be sorted why can't they return the monies and re-sell at a higher price?

9 bob notes spring to mind

Call me negative but things don't sound good

We started proceedings to pull out of our contract with HUMA in March 07. We changed our solicitor from the one recommended by AMBERSUN to a new one as we felt they were working more for HUMA than us. We have recently been notified by our new solicitor of a court date being served on HUMA  OF THE 19TH October, in the meantime HUMA`S solicitor has made us an offer of returning all monies that have been paid to them in an out of court settlement , but no interest or legal fees. We have agreed to this as we just want to move on  but this was three days ago when my solicitor told them we would agree to their offer and he hasnt heard a thing since.  So I dont know if they are playing games with us. Does anyone no approximately how long it takes if you have to take them to court for your money back + interest cause if they are gonna start playing silly ******  then I think we will go all the way. I would be grateful for any info from people who have been in this position to help me make up my mind what to do. Thanks

Apparently Huma, in the meeting with Andersons, offered to refund (to Andersons'  clients) all money paid, but not interest or compo.

Hi everyone.  Ive just read the posts for the last couple of days - what a mixed bag of emotions!   Negative and positive comments posted on EOS should continue, its a free country and we are all entitled to our opinions. Whilst you wouldnt wish the nightmare of ACC on anyone, its comforting to know that you are not the only ones waiting and hoping and that other people are feeling the same as you, whatever your opinions are.   EOS is absolutely fantastic, worth its weight in gold!  We've found out far more information about ACC, Huma, etc than we ever would have done from anywhere else and its all thanks to the members so a big thank you and well done to everyone that posts information whether it be good or not.   We are so disappointed that ACC has taken so long and still no positive news so we're off to Mojacar/Garrucha/Vera in a couple of weeks to look at a resale property. However, we havent decided to pull out of ACC yet!   We will make that decision in the new year by which time we may (with luck) know if its a goer or not.  We have contacted MRI several times in the last three weeks requesting an update and as usual have heard nothing.  We are going to their office in Mojacar when we're over there and we're gonna make a lot of noise until we get a response!   They are so ignorant - they dont know the meaning of customer service or common courtesy.  Again, we are extremely disappointed with MRI, they came across as this big, professional company but they are absolute sh**.   Even if they said there was no news it would be something but to ignore their customers is appalling and I would not recommend them to anyone.   In fact, we're not sure we would recommend any of these so called property companies.  MRI, Parador, etc all seem to have treated their clients the same.  Once they have your money, they dont want to know.  For those of you who are also with MRI, you may want to have a look at You Tube, they get a good slating on there!   Thanks again for ALL the posts, positive or otherwise.

CHILDREN, CHILDREN....................................................................

We are all fed up and unhappy with the way we have been treated over the ACC and i agree people are giving some good advice and information. But must we bicker and be sarcastic to one another, at the end of the day, everyone must do what is best for themselves, and all stick together wether or not you stay or pull out, we are all in the same boat.
