Lifestyle changing investment ?
Has all this turned you (halegate) into a valium addict as well !
Seriously... It seems Huma have now met all their reqirements to get this development underway. We are now at the mercy of the Junta.

Yes I realised that Halegate - Just trying to add a bit of my own southern humour.
One other thing though is, I can't understand all the concern about prices and future re-sale valuations on ACC. To my mind, given the location and if Huma deliver what they are telling us then we should be on to a winner.

Hi
I have just started to make enquiries about withdrawing, I got an email from Huma saying that everything is inplace and will be on the agenda of the next meeting to be rubber stamped etc etc.so we should have all permissions in place by the end of the year!! I would presume that means Feb restart at the earliest.

On the basis of the e-mail information you have stated it is reasonable to assume a re start early 2008
Because it will take time to 'actually get going again' once they have the green light

So it's now going to be Febuary 2008.
What happened to September this year? October this year? By Christmas this year? And people still think this place is going to get built!

It has always been that the green light was expected Sep/Oct 2007 and a re start as soon as possible afterwards
I think in a previous post I have said that I was working on early 2008 for practical reasons
As there is always some drift with government bodies, everywhere, and it is now mid October you can understand Huma saying ' this year' because that is what they have probably been told
Like us they are waiting
It is the green light that matters right now, not the actual day they lay the first new brick!!

Life is for living
If you want out then do it and live your life, buy another property in this part of Spain or elsewhere
Every one understands your feelings it is just that for some of us the time scale is not 'now'..so we wait a little longer...dont like it !
If I was ready to move to Spain right now I would also be getting out

The Green Light ? Do any of ye good people out there ever remember the 60's song......40 shades of Green?
I for one strongly believed in this project. In the last two years we have been totally lied to by HUMA. I say again that I was out there a year and a half ago and was promised by the developer on site that we would be into our place last september 2006. each time the boundaries have been pushed back...Christmas, The New Year, May, September, until another year came around with the same old song being sung, with the chorus 'Any day now'.
Well OK! You have had September.....It's Gone....Gone!...Gone!...Gone!......And what now.....Christmas.....Not even that, an airpoort as well. Isn't this wonderful. By the way........Anybody out there believe in Santa, because someome is really telling stories about the fairies.
Yes I have pulled out. Yes i am really sorry that I have had to pull out.....And now that i have, I have asked for my money back and it's not coming. Why?

what don't we know
will they deal with this in one sitting.i hope so
you said you had hope in this prodject'if it gets go ahead before you get refund'will you stay with it
40 shade's of green before my time'and at least santa did answer my letter's

Let's be honest, many of us (who bought on ACC ages ago) have listened to these promised start dates again and again over the last few years.
Huma are not returning my phone calls, or answering my letters/emails, which worries me.......
If I had known the state of Mazarron Country Club, and the dissatisfaction of many owners there, I would never have purchased at ACC.
Huma are liars and cheats, they knew they did not have 100% permission when they sold ACC to people, simple as that.
DO NOT BE TAKEN IN BY THEM.
If you decide to hang on in there, best of luck - but please make sure you have a bank guarantee, and get it renewed well before it's expiry date.

We are in Spain from Thursday. I was hoping to have some news from our Solicitor before we went, re. the return of our money. I also have another iron in the fire which hasn't yet quite resulted in any positive news just yet. (Thats positive, negative news, as it relates to withdrawal) Bearing in mind it's 8 months since we instructed our 'Parador' recommended solicitor that we wanted to pull out.
We have asked for a meeting with HUMA while we are over there. If we actually get a meeting I'm going to starve the kids and take away their toys before we go in, then chain them to the desk. Then I'll unleash the wife and stand well back. If that doesn't work then there's no chance of a refund.

Hi All,
I agree with Val. Today I got another one of these letters from Parador owner's club telling me of the latest situation. As you can guess the letter runs along the same vein as the last. No dates for the completion of work are given, but get this? They say, All the reports are now in and provisional approval has been given, and of course they mention final approval.
Now of course to be fair to them, they don't say 'Any day now we'll get the final word, and any day now work will begin again, and any day now things will improve, and any day now'! .... Have ye heard this line before? The blame is hiddenly being put with the local authority or town Council. Fact is, It is the regional Government have the final say so, not the town council.
Today I got onto Parador looking for my depsit back on the owners club. What I didn't like was the rep talking over me trying to get his word in over mine. Besides shoving the sales bit in my face, trying to make out that all was well, and i had made a bad mistake for pulling out at this stage, I found his attitude ignorant. He asked me for written clarification and was informed that they got no letter from me, yet when it was mentioned that it was sent by state regested post, that was a different matter. it was only when we mentioned the word 'Watchdog' was there any more to agree to send us back our money. I also contaced our lawyers Aldea Advisors, It seems that HUMA are running a bit slow in paying people back their money even when they agree to forego in the interest repayment for compensation. Now what does that tell you. You will also be shocked to know that ACC is still on parador's books on the irish runs for sale as 'Coming Soon'. I attended another stand in Cork City this weekend. They were fully aware of the ACC problem and made no bones about saying that ACC had no permission in the first place. By the way, anybody had problems in getting money back and their solutions. Name any good lawyers as Cromwell put it 'With fire in the bellies'

Hi All,
Apologies if I sound bitter........I am! I certainly don't want to panic anyone, but a bank guarantee just gives you that extra peace of mind (although if you haven't been issued with one, don't worry too much as long as you can prove you have handed over money to Huma, there is a BG in place apparently)
Mike - Yes I am in the process of pulling out, but will not do so without the total monies so far paid, plus 6% interest and compensation.
My sister (who I advised to buy on ACC )has decided to use a solicitor in Almeria (apparently this firm is handling over 30 cases against Huma, from unhappy buyers on both ACC and MCC)
This solicitor has apparently settled out of court on behalf of a couple of their clients - for everything I mentioned above, including the legal costs so far incurred. Apparently the monies were handed over by Huma within a couple of weeks of the settlement, which I think would open the floodgates for any other claimants. The solicitor says that Huma know that if it goes to court, they will lose - therefore it's cheaper for Huma to settle beforehand, so that they avoid paying even larger legal costs from multiple claimants if it goes to trial.
Apparently, according to this solicitor, Huma's legal team have said they want to settle out of court for these 30 or so cases (surprise surprise) and are having a meeting this week with my sister's solicitor.
Of course this could be a delaying tactic, and at this point I am so cynical that I don't even know whether to believe anything a lawyer says, even if they are supposedly on your side.
I will keep you posted as to the outcome, and if successful, will give you the details of the solicitor.
If this site is eventually given permission (which the solicitor says will not happen in the near future, if ever) I think a lot of the existing work will need to be demolished and started from scratch, as the weather has done a lot of damage in the past few years to the half finished plots, many of which have been left open to the elements.
Last week I was on site at ACC and stood in my Aroma bungalow. The window frames are rusty, the glass is broken, the interior and exterior tiles are cracked in many places. The walls also show cracks, which are unacceptable as far as I'm concerned. The floor is also sloping noticeably!
Many more things on my "snagging list"............I could go on and on
Anyway, will let you know as to the outcome of the meeting

Forgot to add.....
I'm sure many of you have already done this, but if not then please write to your MEP, who is supposed to be fighting for YOUR rights in Europe:
www.writetothem.com
Include all relevant details, but keep it as short and easy to understand as possible (they are politicians after all!!!)
Also, Spanish Consumer society, CEC.
No CEC has never replied to me, but it can't do any harm, and may prevent Huma doing the same to others in the future.
