Las Rambles costa blanca

Hi 

We have just returned from a few days checking out how things are going  had a good time weather realy good nice to sit down by the marina in the sun , we visited the site three or four times managed to get to see our apartment  it had been cleaned and looked good . There were a few workers there electricians, painters , gardeners, It looks like they have cleaned and touched up the paint work where needed must be getting ready for the completion handover's, The gardens are coming on fine starting to get established, the pool in block 5 area was having some tiles replaced which I suppose is better now than later.

We are in block 5 portal 17 and from our terrace we could look out over what was the waste land facing blocks 6.7. the good news is that there is now a swiming pool, cafe and landscaped gardens being built  and they are about half way completed.

The new road is coming on fine it will be some time before it is complete at the rate there going but at least it is being done.

There where no workers on any of the others phases which is a bit concerning as I would like to think that they are going to finish all phases, we went to the Town Hall in Manilva to try and find out about the othere phase's but our Spanish is limited and the lawyer who is dealing with that project was out , but if anyone on this forum is fluent in Spanish you could call the lawyer and try and find out what is happening to rest of the phase's  the number is +34951276050 this gets you reception then ask for Santiago he is the one dealing with the project.

Called at our solicitors he told me that he had recieved a letter that they want me to complete on the 24 Jan 08, and yes there is a top of the range T/V if completed by that date, but we have had nothing from Priensur so untill we have it from them we do not complete.

 I am due to complete on the 11 Jan 08, that is if the inspecton goes well on the 10 Jan.  I have no reason to suspect that anything will be wrong as we have already highlighted certain problems to the developer and have been assured that they will be rectified.

We are very much looking forward to the completon stage now after all this time and your posting has most certainly wetted my appetite, once again thank you and we look forward to meeting you both in the future.

 

Laurdan, anything in particular you have highlighted?

looks like you'll be a couple of weeks in front of some of us laurden so please keep us posted.  I'm still finding it hard to bring back the excitement i had for the place and am hoping there are no more nasty surprises to come. Funny how positive i was for a long time and now i am getting a little worried as once we have completed thats it, we are stuck with them.

Hi Suzanne, everyone else. Recently I was feeling that way too but after speaking to a few people who live out there, I'm now thinking 'Let's get in there and make this a great place to own'. Robbie, looks like we'll be close neighbours. We're in block 5 too. Thank you for your posting. I guess we have to think at some stage about how the running of the place will be and there are some great postings on this site about that. Yep, the excitement is creeping back. Thank goodness. Haven't got a completion date yet, but that's down to us, not them. We just want to get Christmas out of the way and then we'll go out there early January. I wonder exactly how many of us there will be, eh?

Thanks for the update and especially the photographs - it's great seeing that road being sorted!!

I'm in Phase 4 so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all will fall into place and we'll get our completions in January 2009 - I'm in it for the duration and it's good to hear people being so positive again as it's a great place to be. I guess I'll be able to learn from everyone's experiences and look forward to watching the football with Laurdan and Alan - that is if they are still on good terms after Arsenal and Spurs meet in the Carling Cup - it's bound to happen!!

I'm hoping my friends complete on Block 7 and we get to meet a few people before we get our place but I doubt I will get chance to visit before next October.
