Westport,
I have seen the police removing cars on that same road, so they do take notice. However in August there is such a major parking problem that they accept this solution. Until the Spanish government finally delivers the promised money for the reconstruction of our part of the Paseo Maritimo (the road along the beach) with proposed underground parking there is no other solution.
Like RG we don't have any problem with it as it's just a temporary and minor problem in August.
Max.

Hi to all Don Juan residents.
We were just wondering if anyone has any news about the Don Juan III development. Any news at all either from those of you 'older' residents in DJ I and DJ II who seem to be quite knowledgeable about things going on. Also, of course, would like to hear from any residents actually now living in DJ III. What are they like to live in? Have you had any problems as they were certainly completed in record time! Also does anyone know of anyone who has successfully got their deposits back from the bank or taken the developer to court. I know there were a number of clients in DJ II quite some time ago who get their deposits back but the developer, when he found out, soon put a stop to that!
Anyway, any news, rumours, gossip, anything at all.
Thanks

Hi patsyb just put some photos on try and enlarge the entrance of the block of phase3 and you will see they have put a white gutter on the entrance to take the water away from the entrance and drain the water on to the grass ,there has been a lot of problems on phase 1 in the last few months with the heavy rain and at my block someone had a bad fall at the entrance it also might stop the water going down into the garages and store rooms ,also the builder has put gutters on some of the blocks of phase2 Irene .

Hi Patsy,
I hate to speculate as I prefer facts, but in this case I´m as clueless as everyone. So what follows is my completely subjective view of the situation.
There are no real owners living in DJ III as yet. Some are lived in, but by workers or whatever. Only a few. I think that the license is still not there. The show flat is open and people are shown around daily. The building has been improved by finishing touches, astroturf in the front garden strip etc so it looks attractive now.
I know of a few cases where people tried to get to get their deposit back from phase I and phase II. Only a few succeeded, but in the end most people are very happy with their DJ II property as it longer than expected, but turned out really well.
There are more details but for that you will have to PM me.

Hi to all Don Juan residents
Apologies firstly for copying and pasting my post from last April and thanks to those who replied to it both on the open forum and on PMs. I just wanted an update as to what the situation is at DJ III a year on.

Hi Patsy,
I have been in contact with you and a lot of others about DJ III by PM and mail. Unfortunately some things like people succeeding in getting their deposits back can´t be told on a open forum without having a detremential effect on others trying to do so.
Currently there is not a lot more news to tell about phase III. The developer struggles to sell it but deals are made. Most of the people I know there are renters with an option to buy which seems an atrractive option. The quality of the building as compared to phase I and II is not too bad. The works in vvery phase was a slight improvement over the former one thanks also to government regulations, although the architecture and communal green are not as good in phase III.
The pool is still not in use which is a shame and some people feel a bit lonely in phase III as it´s of course less lived in. It stands a bit apart and the owners don´t know each other as well as in the other phases. From what I hear are the prices still quite high compared to the huge devaluations in other developments on the coast but there are good reaons for that as the location is of course excellent compared to lots of complexes set up in a hurry to profit from the boom.
On average there are more Spanish owners than English speaking Europeans and Eye on Spain is not very active anymore. The combination makes that you won´t see discussions or updates here. Whatever there is goes by PM.
Best regards,
Max
