This morning Adfinsur and myself set up all that is needed to complete the legalisation of our community, and also the bank account for sending our payments
Within the next couple of weeks a pack will be sent to all registered house owners, and my Update tells you what to expect, there is also info on what to do if you do not recieve this package, and some facts in answer to peoples enquiries
Torre Alacantara Community
This package signifies that we are now a fully legalised community, who are recognised in the Spanish system, I have put relevant information in this update, and some facts to answer peoples input
The package its self should contain
- The official minutes of the meeting held in January, this has been translated into Spanish for the legal version, it is also worth noting the way the minutes are written can be very short and possibly short in description, but I have checked and that is how they are written, the minutes are also subject to Spanish law and scrutiny
- As part of these minutes there is our Swimming Pool rules and regulations, voted and passed by yourselves at the meeting
- Also in these minutes is the Spanish Community laws for all communities in Spain, these laws are binding and must be upheld by us all
- The Spanish bank account number and the form, to set up your money to be sent to and confirmation of first payment dates etc. You will all be aware that if you own property in the community you must pay the agreed sum (Spanish law)
- If you do not receive this package in two weeks send an e-mail to "info.adfinsur LAURA" with your contact address
What has been going on
- The building ground at the front of the estate, we won the battle to get Taray to clear and level the ground, but I feel they could do more, but during discussion it is evident we look upon it cosmetically, and they look upon it as building ground, discussion goes on.
- The swimming pool, now has depth markings, life saving equipment (Rings/Poles) Rules and regs board, notice board cupboard.
Some of you are aware I/We have had concern at several times about the pool/ water condition, I repeatedly asked for the pool company to clean the debris etc. ---To no avail, therefore we now have a new pool company, with a higher spec contract for a bit less money, and as I write this the pool is receiving a deep clean, but the proof will be in what we see over the coming months.
· I have been involved in a good few snagging discussions, and hopefully moved some to successful conclusion, this is ongoing, but now you have to come through me/Adfinsur and we will discuss with Taray
· We have onsite three TV systems, Spanish communal. Normal roof top installation, and Sky communal (Micro Mesh), but I have been approached by a member of our community, to enquire if any of you are interested in the British Free View system, if you are please contact Mr. Graham Johnston at Pedro Cano No 19.for further details and discussion.
· Adfinsur on our behalf have been in touch with our council in Torre Pacheco informing them we are now a community and asking if they can now provide proper street cleaning and bin emptying, we are trying to get them to start with a deep clean of pavement and road !
Some other topics for discussion are
· The use of the roads on our estate, there have been several times when it has been observed that cars and children on bikes etc. have been going down the streets in the wrong direction, these streets are now part of the community and we have had in recent weeks a collision between two vehicles, one which had not observed the give way sign, therefore can I ask you all to observe signs and road markings.
· Dog Fouling
I had some members of our community who were a bit dismayed that they had observed dogs not only being allowed to foul in the streets, but also that the owners had not lifted the offending mess, I will leave it at this stage at present.
My observation lately is that more people are doing the neighbourly thing and keeping friends places clean and tidy by giving them a sweep and picking any weeds, YES I said it before but we have the makings of a really good community, and the more of this spirit will make a huge difference, a bit of friendly back scratching.

Thanks to you all who have jumped in to give me loads of support, when all I was getting from others was negative derogatory feed back, you made all the difference and I will repay you all by giving this job my all,-------But only for the year.
