I have just called Polaris World, I don't think anything is "set in stone" as to the new locations, I encourage as many people as possible to complain, especially those of you on Jardine 5!!! We need two swimming pools and at the very least one big one centrally based not stuck at one end as the most recent plans seem to suggest. We bought in the location we bought for a reason.

Lyndsey,
I've just had Fernando on from Customer services, who informed me that he thought the pool had been made bigger due to there only being one and was already built or being built. Gave no impression that there was going to be a rethink over the situation.

Sounds like they have just made one of the "original" pools bigger. I do feel rather aggrieved at the whole situation.
Still looking forward to having our very own "place in the sun".
Whereabouts are you on Jardine 5?

Im peeved as im 526 in jardine 5 which was right in front of the "scrapped" pool. Rang them and voiced my concerns. I was told it would be passed on at the meeting!
We shall see.......

Hi Kelly T & Linsey Culley
We are on Jardin 5 (554) We have lost the view of the pool also. It will be a long walk when we just want to go for a dip to cool off!!!
We have informed our solicitor and we await a reply. Let the forum know of our reply. don't hold much luck though maybe we should take our spades and dig our own.
Dave & Lynn.

i'm trying to stay positive. If we keep the pool - great, then not far to walk, like you say, for a quick dip. But if we lose it, we wont have the continuous splashing and noise all day long i suppose!

I have just spoken to Customer Services who have informed me that the planned removal of the pool at J13 is still going ahead. She says that they passed all the complaints to Head Office but that the decision has now been made! I spoke to a lady named Camilla. She had perfect English and very much understood my disappointment saying that she didn't understand why they had done this either!!

Looking at the plan for j13 compared to the original plan, i think that the new larger single pool looks in a better position, and if it is bigger it should be better.

As far as I am aware it is at one end rather than situated centrally - fine if you are at the pool end but not so great if you are now further away. Surely they should have put it in the middle of the garden??? Am not even convinced that it is bigger than originally planned!

We received a letter from Polaris yesterday saying that they have changed our Jardin from 6 to 7. I have spoken to them this morning to confirm the change and asked the question about the 2 swimming pools. The lady confirmed that we are losing one of the swimming pools and it just so happens that it is the one right outside our apartment, which we picked for that reason, and they are replacing it with a childrens playground as they thought that this would be more suitable. I asked if they thought it may be an idea to ask the clients thoughts on this!!
I understand that when you buy off plan there may be some slight changes but not the removal of a complete swimming pool. It is simply just a cost cutting exercise for Polaris and I for one am not happy about it.

It would be interesting to know what the Town Hall's take would be as they would have the 'Plan Partial' which would have been submitted along with all the development plans showing the pool. If the building does not match the plans they can refuse to issue licenses.
But I suppose it would be more of a problem if they were to build something not on the plans rather than to remove something. I would speak with your legal representative as I suppose it would effect the rentability of such properties.
I suppose if they can do this, can they move the golf course, , if you see what I mean.
My guess is they want people to sign for their properties, but know they won't be able to complete the pool in time. Make sure your communal fees reflect this reduction in facilities.
Regards,
Steve.

Hi All,
Just reading about PW taking taking away swimming pools. We have in front of us Our Purchase Contract In clause 6 last paragragh it states as follows,
The Buyer acknowledges and accepts that the Property shall be delivered with the materials, finish and layout reflected in the plans made available to it and in the specifications attached hereto.
On our plan we have got two swimming pools. A lot of clients not too happy, we hope we win this one.
