Hi All
Just had e mail from my solictor. She states that PW CAN make modifications to the building AND SURROUNDIG AREAS. She says that the Town Hall would not give them licences for so many pools. The missing drawer units are not part of the contract and are not in the spec.
Hope this is of use.

I ahve just had a call from PW customer services.  She says they are being 'environmentally friendly' by not putting in the extra pools, thus saving lots of precious water.  Can't really argue with that - although when the plans were drawn up to sell the apartments I am sure the Murcia weather/drought was well-documented!!

Using the environmetal card now is a bit rich because Polaris had to alter these plans to get them cleared after the confusion earlier on- plus they are meant to be providing a water and santiation unit anyway as part of their environmental effort. I think you will have to resort to a hot tub which we have been looking at on the 'net today. Only downside is that it takes 10-12 hours to heat up, think of the electric bills!

Hi JHMURCIA,

Not sure if this would help but have you thought about using solar water heaters to pre-heat water for the hot tub, If you have a 2 bed you could put it on the roof where no one would see, there is a tap there.
I have a 3 bed which is north facing so most of the sun will be in the rear patio area, this gives privacy and there is a tap also, the only prob I see is to get a panel small enough.
It is a project for 2009 spring I think. I will continue to look for a small panel and also to see is it possible to connect to the hot water system inside the apartment.
Hope this will give some food for thought.

Regards, Ken.

Ken- what a great idea. We will look into that. We've thoguth of buying it this year for the UK and later transporting it over- but in the Uk you'd definately need to heat it up fully so maybe a solar panel here would be an option to.

I know I've digressed from the theme of the thread here and didnt want to sound flippant about the issues of the swimming pools. If only Polaris were more up front about things without the 'fait accompli' attitude; I believe there will be other issues down the line that we will have no say in even though we are owners. I think about all the people who dont use forums and only become aware of issues when they visit the show houses- and only then if they ask the right questions- or when a letter drops on the mat. We have had a letter this week telling us about the change of Jardines numbers and indicating that we should look at the attached masterplan- except they hadnt enclosed it! Jan

Hi Jan,
I totally agree I am so glad I found this forum it has been so useful. We also had the same information re change of number with the same "unattached" masterplan.
Regards
Mandy
