Hi everybody,
we completed recently and are in the process of furnishing the house. I just wondered if anybody had moved in yet and what was their experience of living on site.

Hi Noel,
We completed on the 30th. April and moved in the very next day. We had all of our furniture delivered the first two days along with everything we sent from the UK. Unfortunately we could only stay two weeks so are now back at home. We enjoyed the two weeks we were there, we were very busy putting up lights etc. The place was looking lovely and we didn't want to leave it. Although we were literally living on a building site it was still really good because the golf course is looking terrific and the clubhouse is first class. Peraleja had completed all of the snagging problems and were most helpful with everything else we asked them to do. We are coming out again at the end of June will you be there then?
Erik & Morag from Aberdeen if you are on this website, we walked past your villa a few times and they are getting on with it a treat. Your grilles are on the windows and they are tidying up outside so you may be on time!!
Hope you are all well.
Regards
Jill & David

Hi Jill and Dave,
Thanks for the update. As you know we were out in early May for an inspection, and we thought completion was going to be late, as there still seemed lots to do. But last week we got an e mail advising us that they would be completing in early June, which i must say i did not believe. But our lawyer and inspect a home have both been to the house, and yes it will be ready. Seems they have been at full speed, with multiple builders working on it. Completion will be as per contract, which i am very surprised at. Normally you expect things in Spain to always be late, but Peraleja seem to be very professional and do what they say. So hats off to them. So far i only have priase for them and the development. I reckon when most of the houses are completed this year, and there is more people going about it will be fantastic. The club house and piano bar are very nice. The golf course is great, but it has already claimed multiple golf balls off me!
Give you a laugh, on the last day of our visit we went down to the sales office just before we were due to depart for the airport. After a quick chat i went to the toilet, but unfortunately the lock on the door decided to stop working and i could not get out. After numerous attempts a joiner from the site had to come. But after what seemed a long time of drilling at the lock, it still would not open, so in the end the door had to be kicked in. Think i was in there was about 30 mins in total. It was actually very funny, and we still made our flight in plenty of time, so no hassles. But word of warning, check the toilet locks before you take delivery, i will be!

Hi Noel, Jill and David.
We completed on Friday the 20th of June. We just did a flying visit to do the handover, arrived Thursday and departed Saturday. Roy from Inspect a Home had done the pre inspection stuff and is looking after us very well. It is certainly worth paying the money for Inspect a Home, as basically they are your eyes and ears out there, and it would of been very difficult for us to do such a quick trip if it had not been for Roy. Roy looks after you very well, and we would certainly recommend him to anyone. Peraleja have so far been very good, our contract stated June delivery and that is exactly what we got. We have a few snagging items, but Peraleja were already on the case with them by the time we arrived, so i am sure they will sort them out before long.
We were also given the cost list for the pool and garden maintenance, it seems very high. When we were out we got talking to Sam "The Pool Man". Sam and his family are moving into house 7.2, and he is offering a pool and garden service at a much more acceptable price, for two vists a week in the summer, and once a week in the winter. If anyone wants his details let me know. His wife is also going to do a property service. So having people on site doing that, then i am sure it will be done properly.
Going back out for the first two weeks of August, so hope to meet meet you all then.

Hi Erik & Morag
Just wondered if you had any more details re the 'Pool man' you mentioned?
We are going out at the end of July and would want to contact someone like that.
We are in 14.2
Were hoping to furnish our Romera and set it up for rentals over a week long visit.
I would be interested to hear from anyone else who will be out at Peraleja at that time?
