Can anyone who has been over recently or completed and been in the 2 bed apartments tell us if they think two 3'6" beds with a bedside cabinet between them will fit in the smaller bedroom?
Seem to recall someone saying there is a slight lip in the wall of the 2nd bedroom close to the wardrobe which reduces the space between the window wall and the wardrobe for the single beds. We didnt identify this when we visited and now we are looking at furniture we could do with an opinion from somewhere else. Thanks, Jan

Hi,
The furniture company we've gone with have advised that (based on the measurements from those who have posted here) we will be able to fit the following into the 2nd bedroom.
2 single beds @ 800 x 1900mm with 2 bedside cabinets @ 450mm each.
The gap between the bottom of the bed and the wall is not great but it is walkable. Hope this helps.

Thanks Angela- we have photo's showing the space at the end of the beds and remember that its too narrow there for a chest of drawers but hadn't measured the single beds. Thanks for the info. Jan

I was over a few weeks ago and didn't think it would be possible to put 2 bedside cabinets into the twin room. It is, technically possible I suppose but the two single beds would be prctically touching each other. I am puting one cabinet in between the two. Am going over tomorrow so will look at it again for you.

Thanks awj - we think they had one bedside cabinet close to the wardbrobe in the master bedroom so maybe thats what the earlier suggestion was to be for the 2nd bedroom. We only plan on one bedside cabinet and am trawling through photo#s to try to see this lip in the wall.

Surely it shouldn't be a problem now getting to the apartments, now that people are completing and have their own keys you should be able to drive around the inside of the resort yourself to get to the apartments, thus being able to stop on the road going round?
Or are Polaris still restricting people going in?

Your 3'6" beds seem a bit large? isn't a std single bed only 3' (900mm)? Polaris's beds 2'6".
Looking at the plans and the photos I can't see any photos showing the lip next to the wardrobe they are all just showing the beds and headboards.
The plan I have and the reports back from others state that the dimension from the window to the wardrobe is about 3100mm.
Allowing say a gap of 300mm to the 1st bed, 900mm bed, say 450mm gap between, 900mm bed would leave about 550mm to the wardrobe (just under 2 foot).
Putting the first bed right next to the wall (as shown in a few photos) under the window will give you nearly 3 foot to the wardrobe.

I believe that a 'standard' single is 800mm which is just over 2 feet 6 inches. The option we've gone for a 'sliding' bed thingy with 2 bedside cabinets built in. It can be set up as 2 singles and also be converted into a double bed. From the options we've explored this appears to make the most of the space.
The overall length of the 2 beds and cabinets is 8ft 2inches so it will leave just under a 2 foot gap between the end cabinet & the wardrobe assuming it is set up bed-cabinet-bed-cabinet or cabinet-bed-bed-cabinet from the window wall. Basically from the edge of the 2nd bed to the wardrobe there would be a gap of just under 3.5 feet.
Due to the layout of the main bedroom we've gone for an ordinary double as the slider bed would not fit comfortably.

Hi, I dont really see the need for any bed side cabinets as I never put anything into them. The most I usually do is set items on the top surface of it, so I intend to put 2 shelves on the wall above each bed.
I'm very interested in finding a double bed that converts into two singles,can anybody advise me on such an item please,if it even exists? Thanks and best wishes. Geoff.

Geoff - the best thing to buy is two single beds that have zipped mattresses. Then you can push the two singles together and zip up the mattress to make a double or keep them separated. The only additional cost is the extra bed linen for both options.

We're looking at buying zipped twin beds for the main bedroom we have been told the difference in price is about £90 from a standard double.
Regarding my earlier queries/comments on this thread a standard single bed is 3ft wide and 6'3'' long (which is probably where I got the 3'6'' but misread it as it should be 36''). We're still looking at just one cabinet or table between the two singles and a small chest of drawers in one side of the wardrobe.
Having been through a host of photo's I cannot see the lip in the wall before the wardrobe so dont know where I got that from! Actually itf was really good to go back through various photo's of our own, on this site and on Polaris World Art. Having looked again I'm reassured about the sizes of the rooms as in my minds eye they dwindle to dolls house sizes.

Hi Jan - don't know if you are still looking for the info about the "lip" in the twin bedroom but, if you go into the Polarisworldart page and then into the showroom photos (May) Look at photo 14. To the right hand side of the photo you can see a little step in the wall. Is that what you mean? It would be handy, if anyone is out there, Emma?, if we could get confirmation of that, and how far it actually steps out. It doesn't look too bad in the photo.
