All,
I know they are probably out there somewhere, but has anyone got accurate measurements for the bedrooms in the two bed apartments?
I can only find one post on this that suggests -
Bedroom 1 - length 9 feet,width 10 feet
Bedroom 2 - length 10 feet 3 inches, width 7 feet 4 inches
I'm hoping these are wrong as 7' 4" sounds very narrow
Phil

Thanks for the quick replies
The problem I have is with the second bedroom.
A standard UK bed is 2M ( 6' 7") long, so it looks as if these are going to be a very tight squeeze.
If the room is 7' 4" then there is only a 9" gap at the bottom, but if it's 234cm ( 7' 8" ) that will leave a 13" gap. either way its a tight fit.
Looks as if the only answer is 190cm beds ( 6' 3") but that still only gives a 13" to 17" gap
Guess the apartment will have to come with a height restriction, only only rent to skinny people
Phil

Hi
I have recently bought new beds at home and they are all standard length at 6’4” with bedding. As far as I am aware 2m is oversize. I have just looked on Internet and found the table below.

Ikea beds here in the UK are murder to find bedding (outside Ikea) for as normal king size fitted sheets don't it properly and if you buy extra king size they are too big. We know as we have an Ikea bed at home

Hi Phil(PGM),
You're right, never gave it must thought when we went to Ikea last weekend to look at beds they were all 2m long so assumed that this was the normal size. So just measured ours at home and yep they are shorter

So we will be buying the 190cm single beds when we get around to shopping.
Still doesn't leave a lot of room at the bottom of the bed, will have to see if the room is 7'4" or 7'8" - size does matter

Hi
Yes there is, that's what I'm doing. It gives you much more room to move about the bedroom, only thing is the power sockets are half way up the wall so will be above the bed but still think it makes more sense to lay the room out length ways. Gives you about 70cm between the beds and plenty of room at the bottom. Only thing you need to be aware of is the height of the headboard. It will need to be low so that it doesn't come up over the window
Cheers

Thanks Gail- it was something we consdiered early on but we were aware of the sockets and switches- however its a small price to pay if it gives a bit more room. Will wait till we see them to decide but think its a good option.

when we signed early in july we also had our furniture transported over from england. regarding single beds in the second bedroom we placed our headboards against the window and there was enough room to have a bedside cabinet between them leaving quite a lot of space between the foot of the bed and the wardrobe. room looked spacious this way. hope this helps.
is there any more brits out there in jardin3?

Hi Gail
You talk of 70 cm between the beds, which sounds good but are we talking of 2ft 6 (80Cm) beds as in the show houses or 3ft (90cm) beds much more comfortable. Forgive me if I missed the sizes somewhere, I may well have done so with so much useful imformation everone is giving

Hi Roy
I'm getting the 90cm beds and they still gives ample space between the bottom of the bed and the wardrope, more than you get between the bed and the wall if you put the beds across the room

Hi again Gail
Thanks for confirming 90 cm beds ok, we can go ahead when we get there on the 16th of Sept, we've booked in at the La Cumbre in Mazarron for a few nights. There's quite a good offer on with booking.com at the moment.
