Hi Davell,
Yes that is a good idea but I was hoping that the storage under the beds could be used for other things ie extra bedding, pillows, extra blankets etc and you will still have the problem of marked walls. Men probably wouldn't even put them away let alone watch out for marking walls. I do suppose that they might just leave them in the boot of their cars if we're lucky. But if we all make it clear before we all start renting out that Golf clubs must be store in the designated areas and if any damage occurs this will be charged accordingly I should'nt think we will have any problems. Your golf clubs will rust anywhere if you don't dry them before putting them away, but it doesn't rain on Condado so should be no problem. I always look on the bright side.
Regards
Alison

That is a good idea and we had thought of it , but only for our clubs, that are there permanently - Not for renters, cos I wouldn't want them lifting what could be an expensive bed up and down all the time

Hi all,
As we now seem to have cleared all the hurdles of banks, mortgages ( finally) and even habitation certificates( !!!) we look like we are now possibly completing next week, so like many of you guys we are thinking about furnishing, lighting etc.
We want somewhere for storage and we are therefore probably going to get one of the storage beds you have been discussing (Ottoman beds). I have just phoned the guy- Richard- at DFS furniture but he has informed me that the storage area is pretty shallow ( approx 18cm deep) and he says it will not deep enough to fit in a trolley golf bag or indeed suitcase, but will probably fit a smaller golf bag in. Does anybody know where we can get a deepeer one? For those who are still interested the prices he quoted me are: 80cm €369; 90cm( standard single) €389; 135cm ( double) €499 ; 150cm ( king size - in the Jardines??!!??) €629 . These are fabric, he also does leather look for approx €100 more. All include 25cm mattress I am told.
Ideally we are looking for a solid wood base that we can fix some sort of lock to to store our possessions when we leave the appartment so that we do not have to keep lugging them about.
Any pointers greatly appreciated.

Hi all,
Regarding the storage beds, we have ordered ours from Diane at Muebles Direct and having them delivered in October. Wiredout, Davell, we've ordered a double 135 x 190 for 395 euro's, and 2 singles 90 x 190 for 350 euro's each, including mattress'. Not to sure of the depths though. We also ordered a "Nido" storage bed, it's known as a Kangaroo bed i think where the bottom bed pulls out, the top bit is also storage, this with mattress' is 490 euro's. Alison, you forgot to mention that us blokes could store beer under these as well. My Brother has storage beds at his place and he has also fitted a digital safe to the bed, bolted it down. So anyone who wanted to break in would have to rip the bed apart or take it with them, think they'd be spotted though.
Chris.
