Firstly states: "What a load of crap this person talks. Male/Female we do not know.", which gives the impression that the person is unknown to them, then states "On one forum can read Spanish on other not. Member of three forums and upsets people on all three", giving the impression of known.
Instead of the i fink i know im or er, why not give the details of the fora and the user names. Would not be too difficult. That way, people may believe what you say, instead of just laughing at you.

Obviously I can't answer for Linda, however I think the point she was making was that what may look like sexist comments haven't been taken as such by either of us, and certainly we haven't been offended by them. 

I worked in HR/Personnel for many years, and know that legally speaking the important thing is how the recipient perceives what is being said rather than the intention of the person who says something.  We had an incident in one workplace where a lovely guy in his 50s, Jim, "one of the old school", called a female member of staff "love" or something similar, so she made a complaint.  We knew he didn't mean anything wrong but had to try and explain to him that he couldn't say things like that........!

Sue I suggest you go back and take a look at the postings by Twigit on the 27th December and then tell me if you find them acceptable I most certainly do not .I find it hard to understand why others especially female posters  feel such comments quite clearly sexist and derogatory are acceptable .  I hardly think your comparison of someone using "love” or "pet” is the same thing at all. I for one know that Twigit is Tony and as usual he is pushing the boundaries of decency and truth   regards JA

Thanks for the response, i am aware of the sometimes over eagerness of HR policies and perceptions, also aware of the way different sexes can use their perceptions to make issues of things that arnt intended.

I would have to say though, that even if you search all my posts it would be hard to discover any sexism in them.......so i am more than a little bewildered by my name being mentioned to be honest....................was it someone else referred to maybe?

I have gone back to check what Twigit said, and agree now that it may look suggestive: if you have an innocent mind you probably would not read anything into the comments, but if not........ !!! Certainly when I first read it, I would not have said it was sexist.  It's many years since I was in HM Forces, so perhaps I am taking things at face value now that I wouldn't have done then!  As I think I said before, this thread is meant to be light-hearted, so my advice is that you either completely ignore this thread if you find it offensive, or go to Justin to complain.  Twigit has had the grace to apologise for causing any offence, which I think is fair enough.

Several comments on this forum have annoyed me for various reasons - some because of the "intemperate language" as Twigit would put it, which I feel is unnecessary, and others because they have been a personal attack on individuals.  I find it particularly annoying when somebody is hiding behind a pseudonym and attacking individuals who post on here in good faith.  I know from PMs sent to me that many people don't like to post on here for that reason.

I'm not sure why you are convinced that Tony is Twigit?  I have met Tony here in Jumilla and whether or not you think he is misguided (it's too late at night for me to get into arguments about that!) there is no way that I could imagine him deliberately deceiving or upsetting people.  Other people I have met and know personally have also said that Tony is an honest guy, which reinforces my view.  What would he have to gain by posting as Twigit?

Briando, I don't think Linda was suggesting that you had made sexist comments - I certainly don't think that you have.  From what I have read, you tend to take a balanced view of things, which unfortunately can't be said about everybody who posts on here!

FIN.  If we are talking about offensive comments - I know many people who work for the NHS, including a couple of my cousins, and although I agree that the bureaucracy  is ridiculous and there are problems within the NHS, it isn't fair to suggest that individuals who work there are worthless and inefficient.

OK.  Time to get off my soapbox and get some beauty sleep (I need it!)  It's nearly midnight here in Jumilla.  I don't know if Twigit is still in Pedro's........... Maybe see you there tomorrow?

Yes Sue  , well said and I agree with most of it especially the NHS part . I  know Tony is Twiget  don't ask me why I just know ! I have also met him and am at a loss as to his motives perhaps the real minx in all this is Tony . He like Twigit is unable to pass up a chance at having ago at his old enemies ie me and FIN and ALM if he/she was still around .Call it sour grapes or whatever he just can't accept that he got it wrong on so many occasions when others knew the truth which he denied constantly much to the sheer frustration of others .Perhaps the Twigit thing is his pathetic attempt at revenge  ,who knows and who cares.

I would be very grateful for any information, as we were buying at SADM and haven't received a letter.  I suspect that our solicitor hasn't given them our address in Jumilla, and therefore that our letter has been sent to the UK, in which case we won't know anything until it is too late as everybody is on holiday!

I have got my confirmation of the Declarado en Concurso and the Credit Document which shows how much credit which has been registered by the Courts. So what do i do now what is every one else doing ????? I have translated it but as usual that translation into english needs translating into solicitors language !!!!!! any ideas anyone?
