Lets be fair, young Julie (not her real name) fer once is trying ta be positive so a fer one’s gunna give ere the benefit of me doubt. So in the spirit of Julie Anne (not her real name) asking folk what they’re gunna do with their cash. Well if I wer ta get any money I’d treat young Julie (not her real name) to a copy of “ow ta win friends an influence folk” I’d pay fer Friend in deed’s (not is ral name) long term care and medication , I’d send Brian for a long rest an recuperation oliday in Manchester.
Me old mucker Bob would get an all expenses paid trip to Spud Murphey’s, Sue.. well she can ave whatever she wants an that goes for Auntie Linda as well!!
Young Captain Tony’d get is ouse and will be voted in as El Presidente of yon ousing estate.
Well anyway, that’s wot I’d do if a ad owt!
am off back ta Pedro's wer a run a wit an wisdom class each El Domingo 5-8pm if yer interrested in attending call me on 0034............. price 150€ an our.

Hola Twigit

Whereabouts in Jumilla can we buy "Ponche", as it sounds like the ideal drink for such a cold and wet day, but we haven't seen it on sale at any of the Pedro's bars we frequent?

Maybe we'll sign up for your wit n wisdom classes when we get our money back - or are they in Spanish?  We have been to a talk on Hollywood films and one on local history, both of which were in Spanish, but to be quite honest we only understood about 50% of it, and by the end we definitely needed the large quantities of vino on offer afterwards!

Sue

Resident coward twigit, face up to it, unless you can prove different, Julie Anne who I have known for quite a while has always been Julie Anne.
If you know different, please prove here. Not expecting much from a betrayer though.
Don't think that it would use too many brain cells to realise that FriendinNeed is not my real name, nor should I think it anyone's.
Hope that on your way to Pedro's you can find a few friends or comrades to stab in the back.

It would take alot more than  money for anyone to vote for Tony(aka Twigit ) to be El Presidente of anything  he is the main reason most want their money back instead of a house  . The thought of living within a 100 mile radius of Tony is  a huge part of the reason yon housing estate has no buyers anymore  . Funny how Tony (aka Twigit )  become the master SADM's  fate  after all .

Enough of the fairytales yon housing estate will never be .The fact that you seem to think it will should give people a very large clue to your real identity !!!!!!!!!! Grrrrrrrrrr ! Tiger .

Well, having been given a travel version of Cluedo at Christmas, I decided to play detective.......

Ole Twigit actually said "if" NOT "when" he got any money, and surely Tony is convinced that he will definitely get his house and therefore there will be money available to repay people who want their deposits back.  Unless it's a double bluff?  My dear Watson, what do you think?

Sue

Hi DI  Sue

I think old Twigit has already said he was not buying at SADM or yonder housing estate as he puts it . Therefor we must presume he means if he got any old money from any old where perhaps  El Gordo or something . If not I think we could be looking at a triple bluff  or even a quadruple bluff .

Twigit is Tony

We could ask them to post at the same time or seconds apart not even an old soldier could log on and off and back on again that quickly  Hows About it Tony / Twigit  ? Would seem easier to  me  if despite your many enemies you meet up with DI  Sue at Pedros but then she would know you are really Tiger  Ton and you would look like a pl--k-r again  . Regards JA

Twigit.

All expenses paid trip to Spud Murphey's. Well thanks me old mucker but i dont eat potatoes anymore, because i am on a diet, especially when we eat out. Found a lovely little chinese restaurant at Playa Flamenca, only Four and a half euros per person for a menu del dia.

Glass of Sangria to start.

3. Course meal - with half a bottle of wine.

Peach or apple liquer to finish. [They leave bottle on table but nowhere near full for obvious reasons]

What a lovely DIET for only four and a half euros!!!! [ And the food IS o.k.]

I am sure you will be able to afford that Twigit "IF" you get any money back, but more to the point, can you or anyone else beat that price????

Just in case you can: NO Sue i am not travelling to Jumilla for a €4 meal. Ha. Ha.

I've just logged back on, ( after the well earned Christmas break ), and found that nothing has changed on here .

Still lots of "name-calling", slanging matches, snide remarks, bad language and hidden agendas...........so.........to all of you, I bid farewell !!

I shan't be posting on here anymore, and shall not be reading any more posts either.

I've done what I need to do and commenced litigation against SJ/HDT, at a great personal cost ( which I hope to retrieve ? ), and await the outcome.

It's now down to my Spanish Lawyer, and the legal system over there.

If I get my money back.........all well and good........if not........it won't be the end of me, and I'll fight on in life by working hard, as I've always done !

To those of you, who in my opinion, have spoilt this forum with your own soap box antics.............posting absolute twaddle along the way.........and have chased away many good and honest posters on this forum, I hope you get what you want out of this ??

To the rest of the genuine posters, ( definitely NOT twigit........what the hell is he supposed to be doing on here, anyway ?? ), I really hope you either get your money back, or your house built, ( very much doubt the latter !! ).

GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL !!

Hi Bob great value but I am not sure it was better for you than good old spuds  .I think spuds get a bad press it is not the spuds that are bad  for us but but what we do to them.  ode "In defense of the humble spud "

Can,t beat you on value for money closest I can get is 6E for three courses and a bottle of vino this summer in a roadside restaurante  in the north of Mallorca .Superb food and great value . .  JA

Hi Julie.

Yeh, i was only joking about the DIET, i do actually really like spuds, especially in there skins. Stayed off the chips for months but gradually coming back to them. Thats the trouble, most things you like are supposed to be bad for you.

€6 with a full bottle of wine. Thats very good. Comes close.

Really would like someone to beat €4-50 with half a bottle of vino. Especially if it was within striking distance.

This is better than a slagging match. Anymore offers?????

                       Bob.

Bob, I have to admit defeat on this one, though we haven't checked menu del dia at the Chinese restaurants in Jumilla yet.

Our best in Jumilla so far has to be Bar Paraiso, which gives us menu del dia for 8 euros: ensalada first, followed by 3 courses with several options for each course, pan, 2 carafes of vino if you are thirsty, plus a bottle of la casera, with coffee to finish.  The menu is also available on Saturdays, unlike most places where it is Monday to Friday only.

We noticed that the hospital cafe in Yecla does menu del dia for 6.10, though we haven't checked it out yet, as we only noticed it when we went past on our way back to the bus station.  We tend to go upmarket in Yecla and pay 8.50 for menu del dia there.  Last time we went there the starters all contained meat, so they cooked something especially for me.  John had already finished his starter by the time they brought mine, but at least it was fresh!

Sue

PS In the cafe at the estación de autobuses in Yecla, a large glass of wine cost us 60 cents - can anyone beat that?!

Hiya Bob & HNY to you both (and Rocky)

I'm amazed.......round the corner from the chinese @ Playa Flamenca, next door to the Rose & Crown you can get MDD for €2.50 with half bottle per person !! but only during january I believe. There is also another nearby  that is doing a 'credit crunch' MDD for €4.00.

Dunno if you've been told yet but we're on the move this weekend coming, nice place down by the beachfront and out of this nightmare apartment....might leave my lights on as well.

D&M

Baz & Sue

Good luck to you both and fully suppoert your comments.

Hi Darren and Michelle.

Nice one. Will definitely check out during January, especially the MDD @ €2-50. CAN ANYONE BEAT THAT????????????????????????

Changed my mobile. My number is still the same but unfortunately lost yours. Can you P.M. me your numbers. Will get together soon for a glass of vino or 10 and look forward to seeing your new place.

HNY to you both as well. [And Billy and Huggy.]

                        Bob and Pauline.

Sue.  60 Cents for a large glass of wine. Take some beating that. Unless of course, someone knows different.!!!

Hi All

I think the credit crunch hasn't really hit Jumilla yet (I hope that it doesn't), though one of the market stalls has a rack of clothes every week with a sign "Precios de Crisis!"

How about prices for coffees?  We had a cafe solo and cafe cortado, plus free fritillas, for a total of 1.60.  Is that more expensive than where you are?

Darren & Michelle - glad to hear that you have found somewhere nice to move to.  I suggest that you leave your lights on - the last one to leave can turn the lights off!

Sue & John
