Hi Neil,
The notary and land registry fees are applied for each person buying the property and if you are taking a mortgage then that is registered as well.
So for instance if 2 people purchase in joint names with a mortgage then there will be a notary fee for each individual for both the property and the mortgage (in other words double).
The exact amount of the fees is not kown until at the notary, fo if you complete with a POA, like we did, then it is usual to over estimate the fees and return any surplus afterwards.
