I understand that the Pools in Duquesa Village are now only open for 4 month of the year, I thought Spain advertised the Costa del Sol as been a all year round destination.  I am a little disappointed that the weather is now a lot better and yet we can’t get into the pool area to Sun bath.  Jumping over the fence at the bottom pool is not an option for my disabled Fathering law when he visits our apartment in May and nor is going to the beach as he is in a wheel chair.

Does anyone have any views on this as I have already written to Melisa with mine, this has never happened in the last 3 years there was just a notice on the gate.

Carleen, I'm waiting on news of what actually happened the AGM - I understand that the security may only now be here during the summer months, although have to clarify that.  That would be totally unacceptable.

Regarding the pools, the one next to block 10 is open and has been since the beginning of April at least, so I would imagine the others at the bottom and next to block 18/20 are also open.  Was there something passed at the AGM regarding the pools?

Nothing said except that the pool by the entrance will be open this year.

The pool at the bottom has been used for the last month at least depending upon weather.

The bottom pool is only officially open when the lifequard is there.

There are signs at the pool at the bottom that say that the community will not be liable for any use of the pool outside of the opening times.  This is just covering the community for liability if you drown or fall etc when the lifeguard is not on duty.  I overlook the large pool at the bottom and I have seen people in it over the last few months (even when it was raining!!)  As long as you are willing to accept that any injuries or accidents are your own fault you can use the pool and surrounding area.
