I know what you are thinking, but no, that's not it.

We seem to have hit another wet patch in our merry and exciting adventure, so while we are waiting for that to dry out, have a look at the following websites.

In the USA the equivalent of our Community of Owners are Homeowner Associations, and in California there are strict legal rules regarding the Community Budget.

www.dre.ca.gov/pdf_docs/re8.pdf

And this is an example of how one Homeowner Association publishes all it's stuff, budgets, minutes etc.. As Spock would say, fascinating

Thank you for that Will & Marianne.

The web site used by Twin Lakes is very professional. It makes everything to do with the complex easily accessible for all no matter where you are.  I wonder if Priensur will adopt a similar method! Knowng how they like to keep us all so well informed

Laurdan

I doubt very much that we will get anything like that from Prienesur, in fact we won't get anything at all.

I think it will be up to us owners to organise our own dedicated Web Forum.

I agree the Twin Lakes web site is very professional and open, warts and all, and if I was a prospective buyer on that development, it would be a big plus to me that it was so open.

I don't know if you trawled through some of the Minutes - did you catch the one where a Mrs De Barge painted her house bright pink ? My, that impressed everyone.

Will

We have bought on Arenal Golf Benalmadena the other former Arenal 2000 site which is now in the hands of Prienesur.

The development has had a successful web site since September 2006. The domain name was purchased by our web master ,in anticipation of setting up a site. We have info, a discussion forum and a chat room. For those of us caught up in the shenanigans of the past few months it has been invaluable in terms of exchanging information and keeping our spirits up.

Many of our experiences mirror those of those of you who have bought on Duquesa.

You can find the site at www. arenalgolf.com or by searching on arenal golf portal.

I think it's a very good idea for the development to have it's own web site. Having looked at the Arenal Golf Benalmedena site I also think it's a good idea installing satellite dishes for each block.

The development has already a pre-installed sat tv system, but that's likely to be 49 German channels and one BBC 24 :-)

I would hope each bloque would have it's own roof mounted dish to ensure good reception.

I think if you are wanting Sky then that's gonna be a whole new can of worms since it means upfronting a whole new installation process and cost, never mind the administration hassle of getting the Community of Owners to approve it.

Will

Hi Will,
Yes as soon as I posted the message I remembered satellite was installed. I guess it will be freeview channels, I believe you can subscribe to a Sky package at extra cost. That is if I ever get in. It is these delays that make me think seriously about canceling and staying at home to watch Sky TV!!!
