THE 28 JANUARY IS MY BIRTHDAY, I INTENDED TO BE ABLE TO SPEND A LOT OF TIME AT THE ACC, WITH THE VIEW OF LIVING THERE ON A PERMANANT BASIS IF I LIKED IT ENOUGH!
REACHING A MILE STONE IN MY LIFE IT WOULD OF BEEN A GREAT OPTION TO HAVE ,SADLY NOT THE CASE AT THE MOMENT MAYBE ANOTHER YEAR ON ,BUT THAT WILL BE CLOSE TO 5 YEARS SINCE PUTTING 60K INTO THAT IDEA.
A GOOD BIRTHDAY PRESENT WOULD BE THE GO AHEAD CONFIRMED AT ACC.!
FINGERS CROSSED.

Hi All,
So now it's January. Tell me someone, Who is feeding this Crap. I just saw where one man has stayed with this project for the last 5 years. Surely people who have stayed with this project deserve better at this stage. i have had to pull out after three and a half years, and I cant get my money back. My new lawyer tells me the whole thing is a no show...Sorry, I dont want to be seen as a Jonah or the prophet of doom. We have been kicked in the teeth for so long and It's clearly obvious at this stage some of the players are planked by HUMA to keep everyone going.

Next week we are in to February and so it goes on
No news except that we are told that Huma are not now doing voluntary refunds [see another post on EOS]
I suppose it is now time to make a decision, certainly if you want to be in Spain now.....that is really a silly statement!!........ as we should all by now be using our ACC homes so really we all wanted to be in Spain for the winter of 2007/8 !!!!
Also in a slow market [ as indeed it is in UK and the rest of EU] I'm sure that a serious seller who when faced with a serious buyer will have the mind to look at 10% to 15% reduction off their expected sales price!.
That does not mean a price crash, as asking prices of re sales everywhere are merely 'guide prices' but just to illustrate that if your budget is say 150.000 € then you can look at homes on offer at circa 180.000 € !

And for those who don't mind transferring to MCC; Huma have a few bungalows left that you can buy for 119000€ (132227€ before the 10% discount), which includes the pre-installation for air-con. Don't dismiss it out of hand as they're 'key ready', and you won't have to pay 1000's to take Huma to court. It's got to be worth an email, ain't it?

Anyone coming out of ACC should certainly have a look and take advantage of the offer if you like it..... but a lot of competition coming out of the ground for the future......Condado de Alhama is going to be very good

As you say Brian, there is a lot of competition, and those who have had their money back should certainly shop around. But those who are not prepared to wait for ACC and are not likely to have their money returned in the near future (news is that the banks have become even slower in paying out on BG's due to the credit crunch), then they should seriously consider swapping to MCC - even if it's only as a stop gap measure.

Reidpj,
We also are fed up of waiting and have arranged to have a look at the MCC in the view of transferring, how did you find the property on the MCC, is it worth looking at, and if you have transfered, was it hassel free.....................

at this rate I think MCC may need an extension if this is the only quick solution to the problem !!
or in the words of Baldrick from Blackadder...maybe this is just a "cunning plan" to fill the remaining units at MCC....if only!

So there will be no building at ACC in February....If there was it would have been announced......This situation must surely be close to being resolved ??...It cant just go on and on and on? Looking back at that glossy brochere with copies of permits etc the application had reached a level where the relevent body did not set definate dates to meet but it was stated they met every every 2-3 months.....That has now passed easily... it was October !!! has this body ( council/committee whatever ) NOT met ? Or have they met and and it was not discussed ? or have they met and there was no agreement ??

this is the latest up to date info regards the pgou, so fingers crossed acc will be included in the general plan!! it will not let me copy and paste the e-mail so will condense the message.
quote: "i have been in contact with cuevas town hall who advise me that the junta will give their decision on the general plan at the end of february"
so lets all cross fingers and hope that acc will be included in any approvals.

As I understand the situation the habitation licence will not be granted until the builder has finished the property and associated infractructure according to the approved plans and regulations
In UK builders have to have a final certificate from the local authority and NHBRC otherwise your building society/ bank and solicitor will not allow you to complete
You should take the same care in Spain as UK!!
In the past this has been ignored by many in Spain mainly on the basis of ' everything is slow over here, dont worry it will come and in the meantime have free builders utility services'.....and for the majority everything has turned out OK......16 months wait must have caused a lot of worry for the owners!!!
But in 2008, and bearing in mind the experiences of some [which have been posted on this forum,] you should just not complete without a HC
And after the experience with the ACC delay [ and there are others] the same situation should not be allowed to happen again by the Spanish authorities

I am a buyer and still think that there is a good chance of ACC being built
But when?
Who knows!
The agents thought they knew but do not now
Huma does not know
Because [ to use UK terms] the area development plan, which includes ACC , has to be approved by the Regional Authority[ Council] and I suppose the ACC area is not the only one they have to look at
Now it is February
Hope it is !

But do you know what 'dream' you may get?
The development is not what it was going to be anyway .Scaled down into an equestrian centre, great if you love the smell of horses, not as many if any at all community pools and all supposed services incl golf schiool etc etc etc not going to happen
This is indeed if ACC is going to happen anyway which is 50/50 at best depending on Junta
Glad I am now well ourt of it, but will still sue Huma with avengeance like many others
Huma have been an absolute disgrace to out it mildly
Good luck to all you diehards
