Can you tell me if the seating and sunbathing area is south facing and will there be any shade in July & August?

Donna, regarding shade im happy to stand over you with a palm tree leaf and gently fan yr sweaty brows..... thats no problem at all.
Bev, no community charges but that does mean the pool will never be cleaned. So if someone does do a tiddly widdly im afraid you will just have to put up with it.

Seamas taray have said the pool will not go ahead in january which is obvious now and it will now start in May. the council have denied hold ups and some people are trying to get to the bottom of it.
Tina has a replacement leisure area which is very impressive. tina you are a nutter but a funny one.

I am not back on site until May when I will make a final decision on what to do next. I am with holding my final payment since last year because of the pool problems. I am now of a mind to pull out and try and retrieve what money I can as its become a saga!
Is anyone else refusing to settle or am I alone?
Thanks on site for keeping us up to date.

I had cause to talk to Helda this afternoon and I then asked about the pool. Helda is not the person to get angry or upset with as all he does is take the flack and pass on to us what he has been told to pass on.
He has a copy of the plans for the proposed pool area and from the scale of the drawing, the pool is going to be a reasonable size but I ommitted to ask. He did not wish to state when building will start or when it will be completed by, other than it must be this year. he did say that the pools would be there first priority. He said that a formal communication will be available next week, maybe an open meeting,
I asked him who would be managing the Club House and complex and I was told Taray. I am not sure he understood that I was refering to the ongoing staffing, maintenance and cleaning etc of the pool cafe and grounds for the forth coming years. A question that I will ask again.
Seeing that the facilities should have been available last year, I wonder if compensation could be obtained by having free use of the pool etc for the first 5 years. If Taray are going to look after this facility then they will have already budgeted the costs.
As usual it is watch this space. This message was last edited by caravaner on 2/5/2009.

Good news, had a meeting with Taray today and the pool and sports area should be completed by Aug this year. There is a meeting next week with the council to rubber stamp the plans and Taray have confirmed that they have won the contract to build the complex as the Town Hall had to put the contract out to tender.
Taray confirmed that it is in the interest of Taray to have the swimming pool and superb sports facilities completed as this will help them sell the rest of the properties on the development. The plans look very good with heated indoor swimming pool, driving range, putting green, french bowls, tennis courts, changing facilities and bar/restauraunt. There will be a small charge to use the facilities but there will be a discount for residents. I am sure we all agree that we should only pay if we use the facilities and it is in everyones interests including Taray to have the complex completed asap.
When you compare what we pay as community fees compared to our neighbouring golf resorts we cannot complain. Had friends at LaTorre who got a 4000 euros bill for their community fees?
With regards to the swimming pool etc , good things come to those who wait,.

sounds great - cant wait to swing a club, dip in the pool and eat a nice meal with a cool pint afterwards. then trot back and sit in the sunshine considering whether to place a steak or fine pork on the bbq before indulging in socialising and relaxing in the sol.
viva la espana :)

Redwine. Taray have confirmed by email only the pool will start this year, not the other facilities. Good things come to those who wait. No good things should have come when we were promised them, WHY? because we have paid for them. When I bought my property taray always said they would run it.

For the attention of REDWINE.
REALLY pleased to hear that your meeting with Taray about the pool and complex went well. Just thought I would point out there have been over 10,000 postings made on this particular subject and probably almost as many meetings with Taray involving a great many concerned residents. We, personally, have been involved with this discussion for over a year. Back in January '06 we were promised the leisure centre would be completed by summer '08.
Six of us attended two separate meetings only last week with Taray personnel. One at the Taray Office in San Javier and another later in the day at the After Sales Office in SC. We were informed that the start date for the works had been moved forward, once again, from January to May. And this was only the pool.
I note with interest that this is your first posting and I am fairly sure you are going to get many responses, all of which will have a similar content to mine.
For the Attention of NICEBOY.
You make it sound very gay and fun. Let's see how long it will take before you sign off - p....d of boy!!!

As I have stated before on EOS I have been watching this thread since it started.
So although I am new to posting...even I can spot a sock-puppet when I see one.
Nice try Redwine & his/her side kick Nice Boy...your enthusiasm has gone down like a lead balloon.
So how long have you been working for Taray?

Hi redwine2009
Interesting stuff you said. Your wrtiting looks like a quote from my Taray sales brochure of March 2007. Out of interest what meeting did you have with Taray? are you ready to complete or on phase2? We might be neighbours.
When did you put down your deposit and what did Taray tell you when it will be built?
Is your property being delivered on the contractual date?
Who did you talk with at Taray as they seem to be the person that has all the answers to our questions?
Niceboy has said stuff that we can only dream of due to Taray's neglect, lack of respect for its clients and failure to honour the conditions in the sale contract. But one day ..............maybe we can stop dreaming.

Hi Tina...so glad I made you chuckle...I hope your day continued to improve.
I am no longer comforted or reassured by anything Taray say, they have proved time and again that they are not honorable.
My lovely adventure...and dream of a better life has been severely tainted, I am sure that I am not alone in feeling this way.

Redwine 2009 why don't you sign off with your own name like everyone else so we know exactly who we are dealing with? I think you are taking the p..s. do you think this is a big joke. I think you should grow up and get a life and find something usefull to do instead of winding everyone else up.

As Carol says why have you not identified yourself redwine2009? Have you already completed? If you are genuine please identify yourself, I think not, My neighbours went to the pool meeting in July last year & from their interpretation the pool was going to be started by November either on the original site or where the sales office is. It was promised then to be open by Easter 2009 at latest. That is April NOT August.
We are coming over at the end of July & I had hoped that the grandchildren would be able to use the pool - I know there is a municpal pool in the village, but it is only open at limited times & from what I understand does not have a shallow end ?
We also know people on La Torre, but this is a completely different to San Cayetano. Community fees will be higher there as there are lifts in the apartments, lots of individual swimming pools & the site is all privately owned unlike San Cayetano where parts as we understand are now council run (the main roads, green areas etc) How can you compare the community charges? & Why are you comparing community charges? Why are you even comparing us with La Torre?
We all knew when we put our money down that we would pay to use it so no revelation there.Fantastic plans might look great, but we want the real thing. I think your remark "good things come yo those who wait" is very patronising to all the people who have already been waiting patiently.
We were promised in the sales pitch that the pool would be ready in Summer 2008. All the houses are built so why not the pool & the sports facilities?
cbramheld - have you heard privately from redwine 2009?

We have a town house in Torre Alcantara .We looked at San Cayetano we were told in 2006 when we we were looking at properties that the pool would be a communual pool shared with the village so we decided on Torre Alcantara. We have a great pool which i have loaded the latest photys .Taray have some houses left in our developement so if you want a pool ask Taray to exchange .With dealing with Taray dont trust them with there promises regarding when the pool will be built if it will ever be built

hi all,
when i started this post back so long ago i did not think we would still all be in the dark nearly a year later. Well as you all know the lfo are out now so everybody is being forced to sign or lose their money.
i find it really interesting to hear that some people seem to have had great meetings with taray when friends of our (dub) as you know pulled out lost 50k after his meeting with the top guy in taray who basically sneered at him and said you signed the contract and at no point did this top guy in taray say to him well the pool is going to be built on such a date, which surely they would have if they indeed had a date. you should read his earlier post on this thread and you will c what i mean
the dates we were given reads as follows, sept 2007, jan 2008, june2008, sept2008, dec 2008, jan 2009, feb 2009 and let me guess its now sept 2009?? am i the only one that thinks we were strung along to make sure that the lfo was in place so they could force us to sign ????
As you know we had bought two properties so we have pulled out of one due to the pool issue alone and we are down 35K this is a very bitter pill to swallow and i really dont want to hear any more about how the development will be better off without us complainers there, remember its the complainers that are drawing attention to this.
i love the development ands it location i dont really want to swap to the different location, has anybody else done this?
a really peed off
