Take a look at Asturias ...

In all good faith when we bought the propery we were told the pools etc. would be part of the contract we bought into.  Why would we all have doubted that?  I asked at the time "was planning premission agreed" and I was told "yes".  It was taken for granted that, as Taray had permission to build the houses, the rest of the plans were all agreed!  Evan the video which we were given by Taray proved that the facilities were all part of our contract.

I signed up for my property nearly three years ago - I again ask the question.  Why did Taray not get full approval of the plans for the whole site before building especially as the pools etc. were part of the deal?  The whole thing "stinks" as, obviously, Taray were well aware they did not have planning permission to built our pools, leisure centre, driving ranges etc. as originall planned.

Whichever way you look at it - we were sold a "bum steer" now we have to make sure we get what we were promised - even if this takes longer than planned.

Like I said in my opinion If the process had been started years ago and was all approved years ago but still the pool not done i would be very worried and thinking well it isnt happening BUT for me personslly there is hope because taray have applied NOW (altho late), its been approved which is great and now if its part of thre process to wait for objections within a certain time period then we cannot do anything about that. The council have no reason to lie and backed it up with evidence to the residents who attended which is something taray have never done.

The council also pulled out some other plans showing the cafe holds 80 people and around 8 people will be employed on the leisure area!

IN FACT IVE CHANGED MY MIND..................... I SHALL BE OBJECTING!

p.s i know an interesting book you can read Colin, its called over 500 spanish verbs. Blimmin marvelous for getting you to sleep!

Don't ever under-estimate the roll of the Superviser.  As they say "a fish rots from the head down" which means the people at the top of any venture are vitally important!  Our Government over here could learn a lot from that sentence!!!  Hope to meet up when I am next in SC.

Il be over 15th May and expected to at least see a hole in the ground this visit!  Sounds like no progress on this since my Xmas visit or the Oct visit before that and so on for almost 2 years. Its pathetic.

I will be in San Cayetano from 1-15th June so we will have an opportunity to meet up hopefully.  Look forward to receiving your pm with contact details.  As my quad overlooks the landscape gardens with the play area at the top I will not have far to walk to meet up.  I do like your sense of humour by the way!  We could, of course, always meet for a drink durng the day/evening in one of the bars.  As it is Saint Georges Day today we should support the Rose and Thistle I guess.  Do like the new Spanish bar in the village - tried it out when I was over in March and enjoyed the lively atmosphere on the Friday night - Spanish singer and dancing!

Looks like there is some more movement on this......People who live in SC will probabally already have seen this....but for those who dont...

There is an official form in circulation that we all need to add our names to, this form is basically asking to be be signed if you DONT have any objections to the building of the leisure facilities. The more names we can get on, the quicker work will start.

Please PM me with your names, and passport numbers (all members of your family will help), I will then collate all this information and pass to the relevant parties.

Not questioning you on this in a sarcastic way but just maybe you can help if you have the info. Im very confused

The form has just come to my house via a neighbour. The name taray does not feature on this paper, its not on taray headed paper, there is no signatures from anyone at taray signing it off as a document so im a little sceptical to what on earth this is about. The neighbour who came to me was given it by another neighbour. Of course if its official i will sign it however i have to say any official document i have ever come across is signed, stamped with headed paper.

Could you give me some more info on this please? Did someone from taray talk to you about this? Bloody hell what the hell is going on? according to the council only a few direct neighbours have the right to object anyway and showed us approx  8 names. Shouldnt someone from taray be collecting personal details and keeping them private, this is all a bit slap dash on tarays behalf if its from taray!

Apparently there is a deadline of monday. Bit of a cheek as they are a year or so over their deadline. I have to express my opinion and that is i think this piece of paper is not what it seems to be. I dont want to hold anything up but the council have told me i absolutley have no right to object anyway,  so my signature is worthless.

Can anyone else shed any light on what this piece of paper is about before i put  my personal details on it and it circulates to god knows WHO?

The forms were distributed by the Presidente of Manzana 4....so i am informed. I dont know how he/she came across them, but I presume they were given to him/her by Taray

Any update on the latest developments would be appreciated. Im coming over next week and would like a heads up please. 

We have family that may consider buying in Spain, so we asked about prices of key ready houses on site so we can pass the info on to them. The sales staff were helpful upto the point we talked about the pool complex etc I explained my mother and father  have concerns and would only be happy to to place a deposit if the pool could be mentioned in the contract. Answer is a big NO. So I said perhaps this will not be an issue because they don't come over until July and they will be happy because they will be able to see that you have started work. The reply was that they would not be starting work by then because it would be later on after the objection phase had been passed. I am now quite sure they are having us all on this was complimented by looking at the new sales brochure which clear as day in bold has swimming pool on phase 2 and on phase 1 an image of the recreational area with the caption computerised images are not legally binding and are illustration.

Make of this what you will but for a company who should want to sell houses and that are going to build a pool why whold they not agree for this to be part of the contract.. They don't intend to spend 100,000 euros on a pool complex that why. 

Maybe a little visit to the Mayors office is in order. We have been told to speak to him we need to make an appointment and have been shown where to go. my husband and I are not prepared to do it alone. If other people are willing to get on board then lets do it, if not we can keep moaning on eos and hope taray dont do a runner.

Before making an appointment with the Mayor we will need to check with the council that the objections period is up and that taray are free to start!

If there is anything we can do from here, i.e., signing faxed forms, sending letters, making phone calls let us know. We will be only too happy to do more when (eventually) we get to Spain.

The sale of the house is progressing slowly, (it is like being in Spain), but if it all goes to plan it should all be over in about a month. We will then decide when to come out.

Hi Tina, this seems like a sound idea and perhaps we should use this forum to gather commitment from people who are willing to meet with the mayor on this subject. That said you can count us for our support and we would make a trip over to fit in with when it works out time wise. So names please of poeple who would support the cause and make a formal representation.
