Hi Claire,
Have posted some photo's of the construction work at the leisure facilities as requested. They are working on the main building at the moment and have just laid the floor beams on top of the foundations (which are quite deep) and the floor blocks have now arrived for fitting. Progress can best be described as steady but at least they are there every working day and seem to be quite thorough in what they are doing. Don't think they will start digging for the pool until the main construction has been erected. Hope this helps
Dave
PS. Some of the photo's were taken on Sunday hence no one around.

Hi,
Just uploaded a couple of photos of the lastest development at the swimming pool complex. After arriving on the 23rd and watching the concrete drying, I was beginning to wonder how long it would be before any work would be done on the base. Then low and behold on the day we came home, the 30th, a lorry and crane arrived and started off loading what appears to be the steel uprights for the roof. So hopefully the concrete has now set and it's now full steam ahead with the building work. Fingers crossed and toes aswell.
Best regards Sicknote

Thanks for the photos Sicknote. Nice to see that work has started again on the pool site. Here's hoping we will all be swimming this time next year.

Further to Sicknotes message below, quite a number of the steel uprights delivered yesterday have already been erected in position on site. The crane lorry and welding equipment have also been left on site over the weekend, so they should be back to carry on again on Monday.
After a lull in proceedings for a couple of weeks or so, its seems like we are back in production again. At least we are getting above ground level now!

Dave,
I think the 'lull in proceedings' as you say was because they have to leave the cement for a period of time for it to settle down incase of air pockets or subsidence. Obviously they feel confident to start work above ground level now and I think once the steel framework has been fully erected and is welded in place the walls will be bricked and then the roof. Hopefully once the building is complete they will start working their way outwards ie the pool area and driving range etc. Fingers crossed we may well be on the way to swimming early next year.
Best regards Sicknote

I'm sure once the roof is on, which will probably be next, the work will not take long at all.
I think once the building is completed thet will work outwards and start on the pool area.
Fingers crossed, keep us in the UK posted please. We need cheering up with the rubbish weather here.

This is our first visit to SC since March and thank you for all the updates that have been posted. This week we have seen 6 workmen erecting scaffolding and roof supports across the main area of the building. We presume that all this work is so that they can pour concrete in that will become the ceiling of the building. Hopefully we will be able to upload photographs.
When in the Taray Offices we asked about completion of the pool project. I suspect that if they had been in the UK we would have had an answer " How long is a piece of string". They did not want to answer and when pushed we were told 6 to 8 months I am not sure. When I asked "Will it be finished by Easter?" I received the answer "Doubtful". It could be that different contractors will be used for different aspects of the work and will depend how quickly Taray are prepared to through money at the project.
Has anybody been told a different completion date that they believe. I cannot see the pool being ready by Christmas. I hope I am wrong.

Came past the pool area early this morning and there was nobody on site.It maybe that they are waiting for the concrete roof to throughly dry out before proceeding any further.
Seems that this thread name has changed ,was originally called "where is the pool",but have noticed old thread titles have changed aswell, perhaps EOS has a problem.
Regards Steve.
