Corbyn hasn't been there the last decade. Labour are under new management and their votes and MP's increased in the last election. The party was hijacked by careerists and tory light "moderates" under Blair and Brown ( indistinguishable from Heath and his one nation lot.)
those days are over.
Tell you what....if Boris/Farage are dictating policies and the English electorate are thick enough to vote them in, then it's goodbye from us in Scotland. Never supported the SNP but I'm not going to be subjected to years of arses like Johnson running the UK. ...so hasta luego England...stew in your own wee right wing juices

John, Corbyn has been a member of parliament since 1983 with a personal net worth of £3 million. Everyone in the UK has a vote, it’s called democracy. Why do the insults always come from the Scottish as if you are doing England a huge favour all the time? We gave your mate Brown a shot at the job and a fine job he made of it.

he's only been leading the party for a couple of years. Over half a million members voted him in twice. Brown has nothing to do with the present management and he was as bad as Blair. Indeed the rise of the SNP is down to real Labour voters moving to a more socially responsible party...SNP stole real Labour's clothes as Blair and company moved the party to mimic the Tories

Re govt debt...
According to the latest published figures (PDF, 316KB)(21 January 2019), there were 14 member states (including the UK) that had a gross debt at the end of September 2018 that exceeded the 60% of GDP reference value.
So the UK are not alone in this debt scenario....
Shame the EU didn’t respond swiftly to reform and pay due consideration with regard to recognising the UK debt left by the labour government’s policies that further crippled the economy following the banking crisis, and the swift influx of people ( mostly compromised by the actions under the Blair Govt), without willingness thereafter to review the need for greater controls to protect, and thereby allow governments to make realistic timely provision for such swift influxes....
Let alone the hypocrisy with which the EU failed sadly to control entry of Greece into the EU, who subsequently became crippled by banking debt....
Not to mention mass unemployment across EU member states as a consequence of EU failures to adequately plan for growth and investment strategies to assist in offsetting these movements of people, desperately seeking employment as a consequence of their failed policies.
There have been all too many EU failures that required reform that have already been debated ad infinitum on EOS threads....
Suffice to say that lack of timely EU reform to protect EU citizens during this last decade and beyond are all too easily dismissed and have sadly led to the subsequent divisions in societies across Europe that we are witnessing to date.
”You couldn’t make it up”.....

John what exactly is it that you want? You have your own democratic vote just the same as the rest of us.

Well Nigel Farage isn't even in Parliament and he was suggested.
So if Tory party collapsed, and Labour was able to form a Government and Jeremy retired, it is completely possible under the Fixed Term Parliament rules for Dianne Abbott to become PM

Live TV debates to take place in June...
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-48437124
“Why have the televised debates?
Fran Unsworth, director of BBC News and Current Affairs, said: "The decision being made by Conservative Party members will profoundly affect us all, so it feels right that BBC audiences get a chance to see the candidates debate with each other, and that we scrutinise the various policy proposals they will be standing on.
"Although the final say will fall to Conservative Party members, it's firmly in the public interest for audiences to question and hear from the next potential prime minister."
The BBC programmes will be shown in June, with dates and times to be confirmed.
The last two runners in the Tory leadership contest will also be invited to take part in one-on-one interviews with the BBC's Andrew Neil.
And Sky News has announced it is organising a live head-to-head debate between the final two candidates for the Tory leadership with a studio audience made up of Conservative voters.”

Sadly at this moment in time the “B” word appears inextricably linked when it comes to the vote for the UK PM, and understanding the various contenders’ opinions going forward..

The so called B word is going to be mentioned time after time, because all the liars are coming up with what they will do to get the UK out of the EU when they get in power, all of them knowing in the back ground they don't want the UK to leave, what is it now, 11 of them want to be PM, sounds more like a horse race then anything else.
My local MP was on the TV news last night . he also is now going for the job, when I tackled him months ago about the disgusting state of our small doctors surgery he came back with a nice letter telling me what he had done to improve it, when I spoke to one doctor I know, her answer was...'News to me, nothings changed here'...My mate who owns the chemist next door said the same. This MP came out with the biggest load of crap going. Liars all of them just to get the power job and perks that go with them.

She has said one good thing, she wants to cut overseas aid to spend the money in the UK, that should go down well like a fart in a space suit with all the others.

Apart from the nothing else to do fanatics, I doubt the majority of the British public care who is next PM or even if B ever happens. All trust and interest has gone down the toilet.

Not if you view BBC question time, that comes from various regions, that still appears to demonstrate the public’s continuing strong resolve to debate Brexit, to be kept informed and intent on understanding the wide variety of generalisations and on occasions dispel a variety of myths and sensationalised reporting. As with most aspects, the devil is in the detail which all too frequently is either purposefully ignored or manipulatively hidden from view by politicians who have other agendas.
Likewise with Andrew Marr, Sophie Ridge, This week, Newsnight, LBC, Dateline London, Hardtalk, etc by those who provide live interviews and on occasions endeavour to make political contenders far more accountable through more detailed cross questioning..... The public are finally recognising the need for greater accountability via detailed debate from which they can make up their own minds instead of being fed wild generalisations that hide the essential detail.
For instance Hammond in a recent interview implied that the negotiating team in Brussels has been disbanded....so
the following article might prove of ongoing educational interest in the debate, perhaps implying the need to commit to stepping up preparations for no deal in the event that the EU remain intransigent.
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/brexit-latest-theresa-may-eu-deal-barnier-juncker-negotiations-a8934601.html
Ironic that those who criticise the UK political elite for having self interests fail to also recognise the same from the EU elite who are also looking to further their own career paths, and all too frequently fail to listen to the genuine concerns of citizens who become scapegoated in that process and the need for mutually beneficial treaties going forward. The use of bully boy tactics or blackmail by threatening to compromise a long fought for peace process as a manipulative negotiating tool appears highly questionable.

Tory members of a typical Middle Britain constituency were asked for their preference. The result> 68% for Boris Johnson and nearest rival had 7%
So if it goes to the Membership vote Boris Johnson is odds on to be our next PM
Tory head office will know the views of the Members and I would be very surprised if the election gets to the members. In the final vote of MPs Boris Johnson will probably win an overwhelming vote of confidence and the other candidate will step down
The conclusion of the election could happen very quickly as indeed it did for Theresa May in 2016>when the result is clear the Tories usually like to get the job done and dusted
This is because Boris Johnson is perceived as the person to take us out one way or another on 31/10/19 and to win well in 2022.
Then the Tory MPs will move away from their red lines over Brexit and unite behind the new PM to ensure that the EU27 know that there is now a united Party in the final stages of the negotiations and that the Tory Party will support the UK walking away if the right deal is not agreed
