Again a story with mixed up facts and fiction.

The 60 votes you got in short time you got by giving false information to people by mixing facts with your own interpretation that I call fiction. Before the EGM the community board went out with the real facts and at the time the EGM was there almost all people left you there in the cold.

A relation is based on trust. Trust you can only earn by telling the truth and real facts.

As I look in the posts below there is a long road for you to earn that trust.

Because somebody that cannot see that 99% of all the reactions are against your ideas has a long way to walk.

To all other people:

The community board is fully up and running !!!

These kind of attacks have even more strengthened the board and we have become a stronger team to protect and serve our community.

Hi Max, If you want to be taken seriously you have to stop exaggerating and making stuff up. For example there is no way that you could have spoken to 180 out of the 208 owners at Don Juan, when you come out with this sort of stuff people are assuming that the rest of the content of your post is also inaccurate or exaggerated. If you are not careful people will give you the "Captain Kirk" nickname, I would suggest changing your avatar to the one below.

i´m not sure of the exact amount but an estimate of 180 will be very close to the facts. Don´t forget that I live here and happen to have a business which make certain that I speak with a lot of people.

Accusing people of lying without local knowledge is not a proper strategy.

Hi Max, You are completely missing the point. anyway 10%+  of the apartments remain unsold which means there are approx 180 owners of which you say are 50% Spanish. If you can prove that you have a close relationship or the "ear" of these all of 180 owners then I promise to arrange a duet with Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson singing in person on Carvajal beach......... with Buddy Holly and Chubby Checker in support.

Andy, noble and sincere efforts but I suspect you are, and will be, wasting your time going down the 'diplomatic' route - many before you have  tried and failed miserably as is evident from many of the threads for this community.

I am sure the committee does not need me to defend them - for the record I give my proxy (as opposed to being solicited) to a member of the committee on a needs basis. To accuse the  committee of soliciting proxies is baseless but then Max never likes it when the boot is on the other foot.

Max, this is an open forum - anyone validly registered is free to express (and not vent) his/her views within the rules of EOS. As for people who no longer posts here, it may be because they are all tired of the dribble and vitriol being posted as well as your destructive attitude rather than any emotional fear of recrimination and/or threats from anyone.

As you can see some of us are a bit more resilient .

I can assure you that I have spoken or e-mailed with about 180 owners. It´s a misunderstanding that 10% are unsold in phase I. I would hate to hear to a duet sung by Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley so I´m happy I can´t prove it :)

Basic facts are however that the committee no longer is in charge. I looked it up and you voted for it.

Information from latest Sur in English reg. work on the roundabout next to Sol y Mar. Hopefully this has to do with our road connection from DJ.

Driving from central Fuengirola do not stay on N340 from the roundabout at hotel Gardenia Park but take Paseo Marítimo.

Hi Andy, As you know we have considered multiple locations for the postboxes all of which have been rejected either by the Town Hall or Correos. We are now looking at a location which we think ticks all the boxes but we still need to get it approved. They will be built as soon as everything is agreed. Unfortunately I don't know exactly when that will be. 

Hello all,   just got back from a short holiday to England  (the  'Lake District'  no less)  to see my holiday snaps just turn on 'Sky News'.  Glad to be back its 24 degrees today.

The huge trench along by the railway has now been 90percent filled back in, I spoke with a worker and he said it would be all filled in this week, don't hold your breath.   The surface they have left is far inferior than before, lets see how they leave it when all is completed.

The main road was shut in both directions on Saturday afternoon as they were tarmacking around the new roundabout on the Avenida de Carvajal, that is really looking finished now,and should be open in a Spanish fortnight (that's double and add 10 days)

The developer will be starting repairs to the access road to the garages of blocks 9 & 10 on Monday 31st May at 8.00AM. Due to the nature of the work there will be no vehicular access to these garages until the work is complete

There are a number of people who have not yet picked up thier pool key and will be going to Spain now that the summer has arrived so here is the schedule of when the administrator will be in Don Juan in June:

The road to the block 9 & 10 garages is now repaired. They have done a pretty good job. However they have not done anything to prevent further erosion so the problem will probably recur in a year or so.

I have been planning to send an e-mail update but we have been promised a meeting with the Mayor and I am waiting until after that to send it. The meeting has been deferred twice but looks like it will happen next week.

I am planning to repaint the walls and railings on my terrace. can anyone confirm the type/code of paint that I should be using. the poster information is no longer on the wall in block 2.

I will need the yellow and cream for the walls plus grey for the railings , is this paint available from  Leroy Merlin or AKI etc... any specific brand ...?

Hi Andy,

The ceilings are just creme masonary paint. Hamerite type paint is not available in the right shade of grey. We used an lighter shade and then painted over it with a mid grey "normal" metal paint - all available from AKI or Leroy - Merlin.

There is no stardard paint colour close to the wall colour so you will have to get it mixed. Pintura Andalucia is where we got ours. They have a place on the Mijas Road (just on the Fuengirola side of the motorway roundabout) and also in Los Boliches. With all the work you have been doing you should have a bit of rubble with paint on it which they will then work to match.

Thanks for the info, .Re the yellow , what about buying this via the community maintenance company  to make sure that the shade is always correct?

 Painting your outside walls will look very different from the current look which is coloured mortar. The open cell structure will close so it will look completely different. Buying new mortar in the righ colour however is impossible as there is just a limited choice and the original colour has changed quite a lot. 

Still I don´t like the look of painted wails and assume that when the building exterior walls are done by the community it will be done as is in the original so with fresh mortar all in the same colour. Painting them would make the buildings look completely different.

As we will have to do the outer walls anyway and the outer walls within the balcony are apparently considered part of the communal wall  I wiil wait for that to happen. Otherwise we end up with even more colour differences.
